Notifications And Emails
Which emails DMpro sends, how to set preferences and what to do when emails land in spam.
DMpro sends only a few kinds of email to you, and this article lists each one and when it arrives.
1. Account Emails
- Verification codes. A 6-digit code every time you sign in or sign up (“Your verification code”).
- Welcome email. Once, when you create your account.
These are part of using your account and cannot be turned off.
2. AI Assist (MCP) Emails
If you connect AI apps through AI Assist (MCP):
- New AI connection. “New AI connection: [app] can now work in your DMpro account”, each time an app connects, with its access and a Review AI apps button. If you did not start it, disconnect the app on the AI Assist (MCP) page and write to [email protected].
- Approval needed. “Approval needed: [request]”, when an app’s request waits for your approval (at most one email every 10 minutes). You can turn these off on the AI Assist Limits tab.
- Confirm it is you. A 6-digit code when, on the AI Assist (MCP) page, you widen an app’s access, raise a limit or turn approval emails off, and your last sign-in is older than 10 minutes.
3. Find Creators Emails
When Find Creators is available on your account and you saved a search with alerts on, a weekly email on Mondays lists new creators that match. Each email has links to stop the alert for one search or for all.
4. Product Updates
Occasional emails about new features, prompt templates and outreach tips. You choose this in onboarding (“Send me product updates and outreach tips”) and can change it any time under Email Preferences (Product updates and tips). See “Setting Email Notification Preferences”.
5. What DMpro Does Not Email
- No weekly or monthly usage reports (see “Weekly And Monthly Usage Reports”).
- No campaign summaries: each campaign’s results are on its card in the dashboard.
- No credit warnings by email: the Overview shows a banner when you are set to run out early (see “Credit Runway Predictor: When Will You Run Out?”).
6. Emails You Send With DMpro
Outreach emails (Send Email and Auto Email) go to the people you contact, from “Your Name via DMpro”, with replies to your own address. They are not emails to you. See “Auto Email Rules: Plans, Limits, Footer And Unsubscribes”.
7. Payments
Payments run through Stripe Checkout. Your payment history and invoices are in Billing & Payments on the dashboard (see “Viewing Your Payment History”).
8. Email Format
DMpro emails are HTML-formatted with a clean, minimal design. They also render fine in plain text if your client can’t display HTML.
9. Unsubscribe
Every non-transactional email has an unsubscribe link at the bottom. Click to opt out.
Transactional emails cannot be unsubscribed from (they’re required by law and account safety).
Related questions:
You control which DMpro emails you receive. Here is how to configure.
1. Where To Set Preferences
Go to Dashboard → Profile → Notification Preferences. See article 13.6 for the full toggle list.
2. Default Configuration
Most preferences default to a sensible state:
- Transactional: ON (cannot turn off).
- Weekly + monthly reports: ON.
- Product updates: ON.
- Marketing: OFF (opt-in).
- Warnings (trial, gift, runway): ON.
3. Turning Off Specific Emails
Toggle any preference off. Changes save automatically.
4. Unsubscribing From An Email
Every email has an unsubscribe link at the bottom. Click it to opt out of the corresponding category.
Unsubscribing turns off the same toggle you’d toggle manually.
5. Marketing Opt-In
Marketing is opt-in for compliance:
- CAN-SPAM (US): Marketing requires consent.
- GDPR (EU): Requires explicit consent.
- CASL (Canada): Requires explicit consent.
Opt in from Notification Preferences or by clicking an opt-in link in a promotional email.
6. Frequency Controls
Currently DMpro doesn’t have granular frequency controls (like “weekly digest instead of individual”). All emails follow their natural sending cadence.
7. Re-Subscribing
If you unsubscribed but want emails back:
- Toggle the preference on again in Notification Preferences.
- Or click a re-subscribe link if you were sent one after unsubscribing.
8. Email Address Change
When you change your DMpro email, notification preferences follow you. Your new email inherits your existing toggles.
9. Team And Enterprise Preferences
On Enterprise team plans, admins can set default preferences for team members. Individual overrides are still allowed but admin defaults propagate.
10. Digital Sabbath
Some users want to pause ALL emails temporarily (for vacation or focus time). Currently DMpro doesn’t have a “pause all” toggle. Workaround:
- Turn off product updates + reports + warnings + marketing.
- Transactional emails still come through.
Or set an inbox rule in your email client to filter DMpro emails.

If a subscription renewal payment fails, DMpro sends escalating email notifications during the 3-day grace period. Here is what you get and when.
1. When Payment Failure Notifications Are Sent
When your card is declined on a subscription renewal charge:
- Immediately: First failure notification.
- ~24 hours later: After Stripe’s automatic retry #1.
- ~48 hours later: After Stripe’s automatic retry #2.
- ~72 hours later: After Stripe’s automatic retry #3 (final).
2. What Each Email Says
- Day 1: “Your DMpro payment failed. We’ll retry your card tomorrow. Meanwhile, update your card to avoid interruption.”
- Day 2: “Your DMpro payment failed again. Please update your card to keep your Growth subscription active.”
- Day 3 (final): “Final retry today. If this payment fails, your DMpro subscription will be canceled and you’ll drop to free tier.”
3. Included In Every Email
- The specific card that failed (last 4 digits).
- The amount that failed.
- A link to update your payment method.
- Your subscription tier.
- Expected next steps.
4. What Happens If All Retries Fail
After Day 3:
- Your subscription is canceled.
- You drop to Free (no monthly credits; one-time credits stay).
- An “Account canceled” email is sent.
To reactivate, subscribe again with a working card.
5. Cannot Turn Off Payment Notifications
Payment failure notifications are required. Cannot be turned off in Notification Preferences. This is for your financial protection.
6. Common Reasons Payments Fail
- Expired card. Update to a new card.
- Insufficient funds. Add funds or use another card.
- Card blocked by bank. Call your bank. They sometimes block foreign or unusual charges.
- Card canceled. Get a new card and update.
7. Fixing Payment Fast
- Open the email (or go to Dashboard → Payments).
- Click Update Payment Method.
- Enter new card via Stripe.
- Stripe immediately retries the charge.
If the new card works, your subscription is reactivated.
8. If You Missed The Emails
If you check your dashboard and see a “past_due” or “canceled” status, follow the same fix path. You may have missed the email; that’s OK, the dashboard shows the current state.
9. Payment Failure And Campaigns
During the grace period, campaigns keep running. After cancellation:
- Credits drop; campaigns hit
out_of_credits. - Subscribe again to resume.
10. Enterprise Support For Payment Failures
Enterprise customers get expedited support for payment failures. Contact your account manager or [email protected] for help.

Every time you sign in to DMpro, a 6-digit verification code is emailed to you. Here is what to know.
1. When You Get A Verification Code
- Initial signup: After entering your email.
- Every sign-in: From a browser without an active session.
- Email change: To your NEW email for confirmation.
- Session expiry: After 30 days inactive.
2. What The Email Looks Like
- From:
[email protected]. - Subject: Something like “Your DMpro sign-in code” or “Your verification code”.
- Body: Contains the 6-digit code prominently displayed, plus expiry info.
- Delivery: Within 10 seconds usually.
3. Code Expiry
Codes expire after 10 minutes. If you don’t use it in time, request a new one from the same screen.
4. Where Codes Come From
DMpro uses Postal (a self-hosted email service) or a similar transactional email provider. Codes are generated server-side and randomized (no predictable patterns).
5. Security Of Verification Codes
- Randomized. Not derived from your account.
- Single-use. Each code works once.
- Time-limited. 10 minutes.
- Rate-limited. DMpro prevents brute-force by throttling repeated code requests.
6. If The Code Doesn’t Arrive
- Wait 60 seconds.
- Check spam or promotions folder.
- Confirm your email is typed correctly.
- Request a new code from the same screen.
- Try a different email if your primary has strict filters.
If still nothing, contact support at [email protected].
7. Getting Codes You Didn’t Request
If you receive a verification code you didn’t ask for:
- Someone tried to sign in with your email but doesn’t have the code, so they’re locked out.
- Or your email is being used to phish someone else (very rare).
The code alone doesn’t grant access; someone would need to type it on DMpro’s sign-in screen. So a stray code isn’t dangerous.
If you get many stray codes, contact support.
8. Cannot Turn Off Verification Emails
Verification codes are required for security. Cannot be turned off.
9. Multiple Codes For The Same Sign-In
If you request multiple codes for the same sign-in attempt (say you clicked Resend twice), the latest code is the one that works. Earlier codes are invalidated.
10. Code Delivery Address
Codes always go to your DMpro account email. If you change your email, verification codes go to the new address.
Related questions:
If DMpro emails land in your spam/promotions folder, here are the causes and fixes.
1. First-Time Sender Filtering
When a new sender emails you for the first time, most email providers (Gmail, Outlook, etc.) send it to Promotions or Spam by default. This is normal.
Fix:
- Move the email to Inbox.
- Mark as “Not Spam” or “Not Promotional”.
- Future DMpro emails should land in Inbox.
2. Adding DMpro To Contacts
The most reliable fix: add [email protected] and [email protected] to your email contacts.
- Gmail: Click sender name → Add contact.
- Outlook: Right-click sender → Add to Contacts.
- Apple Mail: Click sender → Add to Contacts.
3. Corporate Email Filters
Corporate email systems (Office 365, Google Workspace) may have strict filtering rules. If your work email is blocking DMpro:
- Ask your IT to whitelist
[email protected]and[email protected]. - Or use a personal email for your DMpro account.
4. Deliverability On Your Domain
DMpro sends from properly authenticated domains with SPF, DKIM, and DMARC. Emails should have valid signatures, but occasionally get flagged anyway if:
- Your domain has strict DMARC “reject” policy.
- Your email provider has aggressive spam filtering.
Contact your domain admin or provider if this persists.
5. Volume-Based Filtering
If DMpro sends you many emails in a short window (multiple verification codes, campaign summaries, etc.), providers may flag it as bulk. Reduce by:
- Turning off some notification types.
- Consolidating to weekly/monthly reports only.
6. Content-Based Filtering
DMpro emails include marketing subject lines occasionally (like “Special offer for you”). These may trigger spam filters. Marketing emails are opt-in for this reason.
7. Setup Email Client Rules
Set an inbox rule for DMpro emails:
- Gmail: Settings → Filters → Create rule: From
@dmpro.appOR@brandid.app→ Never spam, always Inbox. - Outlook: Rules → New rule: From these senders → Move to Inbox.
- Apple Mail: Preferences → Rules → Add rule.
8. Deliverability Monitoring
DMpro monitors deliverability:
- Bounce rates.
- Marked-as-spam rates.
- Open rates.
If a particular type of email has high spam rates, we adjust content and formatting.
9. If A Verification Code Isn’t Arriving
Verification codes are the most important emails. If they’re going to spam:
- Move first, then look up your code.
- Add DMpro to contacts.
- Request a fresh code.
10. Report Deliverability Issues
If DMpro emails are consistently going to spam even after adding to contacts, contact support at [email protected]. We can investigate on our end and adjust sending patterns.
