How to set up event types, hours and forms with an AI assistant
Describe an event in words and let an AI assistant create the event type, weekly hours, question form and reminder workflow. You see the plan first and approve it, and you can undo changes later.
Before you start
- An AI app connected to bookme with View and manage access for Event types, Availability, Booking questions and Automated emails.
Describe the event type
You can use the ready-made set up an event type command, or write it yourself. The assistant should show a preview before anything is created:
Create a 45 minute free event called Strategy Call, on Zoom, bookable Monday and Thursday 10 to 4. Show me exactly what you will do and wait for my yes before you change anything.Creating an event type is a change to your own settings, so it happens right away after you agree and it is listed in Activity. You can also duplicate, edit and pause event types the same way.
Set the weekly hours
Weekly hours and date overrides are changes to your own settings too:
Show me my current weekly hours. Then propose Monday to Thursday 9 to 5 for my default schedule and wait for my yes before you change anything.Changing hours never cancels meetings that are already booked.
Add a question form
The assistant can create a question form and attach it to an event type. Forms appear on the Question Forms page.
Create a form with Company name (required) and What do you want to talk about? and attach it to Strategy Call. List the exact questions first and wait for my yes.Add a reminder workflow from a template
The assistant can create a reminder email from bookme’s templates, and turn automations on or off. They appear on the Reminder Workflows page, titled Email Workflows.
List your reminder templates, then propose a reminder email 24 hours before Strategy Call. Show me the full text and wait for my yes.An automation that sends data or links outside bookme (for example a webhook) does not run on its own. It waits for your approval on the AI Assistants page, and the request shows any outside links in red.
Know what is right away and what asks first
- Right away: creating, editing, duplicating and pausing event types, weekly hours, days off, question forms and reminder workflows.
- Asks you first: deleting an unused event type. The assistant shows what will happen and waits for your yes.
- Prices are never changed by an AI. Prices, plans and payments stay in bookme, where you set them yourself.
Check and undo
Open AI Assistants and look at Activity. Each change has an Undo button for 30 days. When one request made several changes, undo the newest first: the question form before the event type.
Tips
- Ask the assistant to describe what exists before it creates something new, so you do not end up with duplicates.
- Event types with bookings cannot be deleted by undoing their creation: they are turned off instead, so their history stays.
- To make an event paid, set the price yourself in bookme. See the guide on paid events.
If something goes wrong
The assistant cannot change the price of my event.
A reminder automation I asked for did not start.
