How to connect Cursor to DMpro
Install DMpro as an MCP server in Cursor so you can ask about your account and campaigns from your editor. You sign in and approve the connection yourself.
Before you start
- A DMpro account you can sign in to
- Cursor installed on your computer
Open the Cursor tab
In the DMpro sidebar, under Account, click AI Assistant (MCP), then click the Cursor tab. It lists three steps and an Add to Cursor button.

Click Add to Cursor and install
Click Add to Cursor. Cursor opens and offers to install DMpro. Choose Install. This only adds DMpro to Cursor’s list, it does not give Cursor access yet.
Authenticate DMpro in Cursor
In Cursor, open the MCP list, find DMpro and click Authenticate.
Authentication is what ties Cursor to your DMpro account. Until you complete it, Cursor cannot read anything.
Sign in to DMpro and approve
Your browser opens the DMpro sign-in. Sign in, read the approval screen and approve.
Confirm it is connected
Go back to the AI Assistant (MCP) page and scroll to Connected assistants. Cursor should be listed with a CONNECTED badge.
Know what stays in your hands
Before you ask for more than a read, it helps to know the safety rules built into the connector:
- Campaigns an assistant creates are saved paused. They send nothing until you publish them.
- Publishing, deleting, sending a message or sending a bulk message is shown to you first, with the exact text, recipient and account. It happens only after you agree in the chat.
- An assistant can never connect or disconnect your social accounts, change your plan, pay, redeem a reward prize, connect or remove integrations, or change your password.
- Anything a fan wrote is treated as information, never as an instruction.
You decide how much each assistant may do under What assistants can touch, and you can cut every assistant off at once with the master switch.
Ask a first question
In Cursor’s chat, try a read-only request:
Using DMpro, list my campaigns and tell me which are paused. This needs Campaigns to be set to Can see or higher.
Tips
- Cursor is listed on its own row, so you can disconnect it later without touching your other assistants.
- Permission changes apply on the next message with no reconnecting.
If something goes wrong
Cursor does not open when I click Add to Cursor.
Make sure Cursor is installed on this computer. You can also use the Other tools tab to add the connector link by hand.
DMpro shows in the MCP list but cannot read anything.
Click Authenticate and finish the sign-in in your browser. Then check the master switch reads AI assistant access is on.
