Introduction

Getting Started with DMpro

What DMpro is, how a personalized DM actually gets sent, and everything you need to create your account and send your first message.

DMpro is a Chrome extension and web dashboard that automates personalized direct messages on Instagram and TikTok, using AI to write a message tailored to each recipient’s profile. It is part of the brandID family of creator and business tools, alongside products like brandID (link in bio), Ainfluencer, and Chatgram.

DMpro replaces the manual grind of writing outreach messages one profile at a time. You install the Chrome extension, sign in, and browse Instagram or TikTok normally. When you land on a creator or business profile you want to reach, DMpro reads their bio, follower count, and other public context, generates a personalized message from an AI prompt you have written, and sends it as a direct message through your own account. What used to take an hour of profile by profile research now runs in minutes.

Every DMpro account is built on four pieces. You set them up once during onboarding, then every DM you send flows through them automatically.

  • The Chrome extension. Where all the sending happens. It runs alongside your normal Instagram or TikTok browsing.
  • Prompts. The AI templates you write. You describe what kind of message you want, and DMpro adapts it for each profile you land on.
  • Generations (credits). What get consumed when the AI creates a personalized message. Every plan comes with a monthly quota, and you can top up any time.
  • The dashboard. Where you manage prompts, view your campaigns, buy credits, and track your usage.

Two related concepts you will run into as you go further: Campaigns let you queue up bulk outreach to a list of usernames, and Safety Mode is a set of automation guardrails that keeps your sending pattern healthy.

DMpro works for anyone whose outreach happens through Instagram or TikTok DMs. The most common users are:

  • Brands and marketers running influencer outreach campaigns at scale.
  • Creators pitching sponsors, collaborations, or affiliate partnerships.
  • Sales teams targeting decision-makers who are more active on social than email.
  • Recruiters contacting candidates directly through their public social profiles.
  • Agencies running client outreach across multiple accounts.
  • Founders and freelancers looking for partnerships or leads without an SDR team.

Here is the typical flow, from opening your browser to the message landing in someone’s inbox:

  1. You open Instagram or TikTok and browse to a profile you want to message.
  2. The DMpro extension detects the profile and shows a side panel with the person’s bio and stats.
  3. You click Generate. The AI writes a personalized message based on your active prompt and the profile context.
  4. You review the generated message, and edit it if you want to.
  5. You click Send, or if Auto-Send DM is enabled, DMpro sends it automatically the moment it is generated.
  6. The message lands in the recipient’s DM inbox from your own account.
  7. Your generation count drops by one for every message the AI writes for you.

The extension respects Instagram and TikTok’s normal use patterns. It sends from your own logged-in browser session, not from any API key.

DMpro is not a spam tool, a mass-mailer, or a bot farm. It does not create fake accounts, does not use residential proxies, and does not bypass Instagram or TikTok’s rate limits. Instead:

  • Every message is sent from your own real account.
  • The AI writes each message to be relevant to that specific profile, not a spammy blast.
  • Built-in Safety Mode caps daily sends and adds delays to keep your account healthy.
  • Nothing about DMpro is designed to trick Instagram or TikTok. You still play by their rules.
Note: DMpro is designed for legitimate outreach, not for spamming random users or sending abusive content.

Creating your DMpro account takes about two minutes: enter your email, verify a 6-digit code, and complete a short onboarding so your first AI prompt is ready to go.

Go to dmpro.brandid.app/signup to start, or sign up directly inside the Chrome extension after installing it. DMpro uses passwordless sign-up. There is no password to remember. You enter your email, DMpro sends a 6-digit code to your inbox, and you enter that code to verify.

After verification, DMpro walks you through a short onboarding so it can seed a starter prompt on your behalf and set sensible defaults. You will be asked about your persona (Brand, Creator, or Business), your platform (Instagram, TikTok, or both), your use case and goal, your experience level, and your Instagram and TikTok handles. The last onboarding step prompts you to install the Chrome extension, since the dashboard alone cannot send messages without it.

Tip: The extension and dashboard share the same account. Signing up in one automatically works in the other. You only ever create one DMpro account per email, and every onboarding answer is a default you can edit in seconds from your dashboard afterward.

Once onboarding is complete, you land in your dashboard with a default AI prompt ready to edit, your 10 free generations showing in the credit counter, and a Get Started panel pointing you at your first Instagram or TikTok profile.

DMpro keeps sign-up short on purpose. To create an account you only need a valid email address, the one where verification codes, payment receipts, and important account notices are sent. That is it. DMpro is passwordless, so there is no password to create.

During onboarding, filling in the following takes about 90 seconds: your name, your persona (Brand, Creator, or Business), your platform (Instagram, TikTok, or both), your use case and goal, and your Instagram and TikTok handles (so DMpro knows which accounts you plan to send from). Your country is optional but recommended, since it sets the correct currency on the pricing page.

Note: You do not need to provide a credit card, a password, your Instagram or TikTok login credentials, a phone number, or any company documents to start using DMpro. DMpro never sees or stores your IG/TikTok login, and it never asks for API tokens for social networks or your bank details. Payments run through Stripe, and DMpro never sees or stores your card number.

When you enter your email on the sign-up screen and click Continue, DMpro sends a 6-digit code to that inbox within a few seconds. Check your primary inbox first, then your promotions or updates tab if you use Gmail, and your spam folder if it still has not shown up (mark it “Not Spam” so future emails land correctly).

Enter the 6 digits on the verification screen. If your device supports auto-fill for one-time codes, it will be suggested automatically. The code expires after 10 minutes, and you can click Resend Code any time to get a fresh one.

Tip: If the code never arrives, wait 60 seconds, check spam or promotions, resend the code, and double-check you typed your email correctly. If nothing works, contact support at [email protected] with the email address you used.

Because DMpro is passwordless, this same 6-digit code flow runs every time you sign in on a new device. Once verified, your sign-in stays valid for 30 days on that device before another code is needed.

The DMpro Chrome extension is what actually reads Instagram and TikTok profiles and sends DMs from your account. The fastest way to install it is to click the Install Extension button in your DMpro dashboard onboarding step, which takes you straight to the DMpro listing on the Chrome Web Store. You can also search “DMpro” on the Chrome Web Store directly. The full name of the listing is “DMpro: Instagram DM Bot & TikTok Auto DM”.

On the extension’s Web Store page, click Add to Chrome. A confirmation dialog lists the permissions the extension needs, for storage (saving your prompts and settings locally), scripting (running on Instagram and TikTok pages), tabs and activeTab (detecting when you are on a supported profile), side panel (the persistent right-side panel), and cookies (reading your existing Instagram or TikTok session, never stored or sent to DMpro’s servers). Click Add Extension to confirm.

By default Chrome hides extensions behind the puzzle-piece icon, so pin DMpro for one-click access: click the puzzle-piece icon in Chrome’s top right, find DMpro in the list, and click the pin icon next to it.

DMpro can run as a small popup or as a persistent side panel. The side panel is recommended for bulk outreach: right-click the toolbar icon and choose Open Side Panel. It stays open as you browse from profile to profile, and the extension works the same way on both Instagram and TikTok, auto-detecting whichever site you are on.

Click the DMpro icon in your Chrome toolbar (or the puzzle-piece icon first, then DMpro if it is not pinned). If you are not already signed in, you will see a Sign In screen. Type the email address associated with your DMpro account and click Continue. If you have never signed up, click Sign Up instead and DMpro creates a new account.

Check your inbox for the 6-digit code, which arrives within about 10 seconds, and enter it on the code screen. If someone shared a DMpro gift code with you, click “Have a gift code?” under the email field to enter it; the extension previews what tier and how many days it grants, and it activates automatically once you finish signing up.

First-time users see the onboarding flow right after entering the code. Existing users skip straight to the main extension view, which shows your name, your current generation count, a message text area with your selected prompt, and the Instagram/TikTok controls (Generate, Send, and Smart Update).

Tip: If you use DMpro on multiple browsers, such as Chrome at home and Brave at work, you sign in separately on each. Each browser is treated as its own session, and each stays signed in for 30 days.

To sign out, click the DMpro icon, click the settings gear icon inside the extension, then click Sign Out. Signing out only clears the local session. Your account, credits, and prompts are not deleted, and you can sign back in any time with the same email.

The DMpro dashboard is your control center for prompts, campaigns, billing, and everything that is not the send-a-DM interface itself. Open it at dmpro.brandid.app and sign in, or click the small Dashboard link inside the Chrome extension. Both take you to the same interface.

The left sidebar puts every section one click away: Overview (credit balance, recent activity, quick stats), Campaigns (bulk DM campaigns where you queue up dozens or hundreds of usernames), Ainfluencer (visible for the Brand persona, connects your Ainfluencer account), Usage (detailed credit consumption over time), Prompts (create, edit, and manage your AI templates), Library (pre-built prompt templates you can copy), Automation (Safety Mode, auto-send DM toggle, smart update mode), Ecosystem (the wider brandID family of tools), Profile (your account info), Pricing, and Payments (billing history, subscription management, invoices).

The Overview page is your at-a-glance view: a credit balance card, a recent activity feed of your last DMs sent, an active campaigns card with progress bars, quick actions to send a DM or start a campaign, and a Get Started checklist for new users. Your credit count always shows in the top right and updates in real time as you send DMs.

A chat bubble in the bottom right corner opens a Chatgram support chat, where a DMpro team member responds during business hours. The dashboard is responsive and works on mobile browsers, but the Chrome extension only works in a Chromium-based desktop browser, so you can view stats and manage prompts on mobile, but you cannot send DMs from mobile.

DMpro has four subscription tiers plus a free tier, each with a matching one-time credit package if you would rather pay as you go.

PlanPriceGenerations/month
Free$010
Starter$19/month500
Growth$49/month2,000
Professional$149/month8,000
Enterprise$299/month30,000

Annual plans are roughly 20% cheaper than monthly. A rough guide by volume: fewer than 10 DMs a month, stay on Free; 10 to 500 a month, Starter; 500 to 2,000 a month, Growth (the most common pick); 2,000 to 8,000 a month, Professional; more than 8,000 a month, Enterprise. Each generation is one AI-written DM, and it still counts even if you generate a message but do not send it, since the AI already did the work.

Higher plans unlock more than just credits. Starter adds Auto-DM on Instagram and TikTok, Smart Message Updates, and a basic Templates Library. Growth adds the AI-Powered Message Writer and Premium Generations (better AI quality). Professional adds Email-in-Bio Scraping, unlimited email sending, full data export, and up to 3 connected social accounts. Enterprise adds up to 10 connected accounts, Account Safety Guardrails, and priority support.

Every paid plan starts with a free trial: monthly plans get 3 days with a message cap (25 for Starter, 75 for Growth, 150 for Professional, 200 for Enterprise), and annual plans get 5 days with double the cap. You are only charged after the trial ends, and you can cancel any time during the trial and pay nothing. Prefer not to subscribe? One-time credit packages start at $19 for 200 generations and never expire, even if you later subscribe or cancel.

Tip: Most users start on the Free tier, send 10 DMs to real prospects, then move to Growth once they find themselves wanting more credits, since Growth has the highest AI quality tier available at a price most people are comfortable with.

Every new DMpro account starts on the free tier with 10 AI generations a month, no credit card required. Free tier includes full access to the extension on both Instagram and TikTok, every dashboard section, one prompt you can create and edit, and read-only access to the basic Templates Library. It does not include the higher-quality AI-Powered Message Writer, email extraction from Instagram bios, bulk campaigns beyond 10 usernames, more than one connected Instagram and one connected TikTok account, or priority support.

Free credits reset monthly, on the same day of the month you signed up, and they do not roll over. If you only send 3 DMs this month, next month you still get 10, not 17. This is different from one-time credit packages, which never expire.

When your 10 free generations run out, you will see a “Not enough credits” message the next time you try to generate a DM. From there you can wait for the monthly reset, buy a one-time credit package starting at $19 for 200 credits, or subscribe to a paid plan starting at $19/month for 500 credits.

Tip: The free tier is the best way to test your prompt. Send 5 or 6 DMs to real prospects, see which ones get replies, then refine your prompt before scaling up.
Note: DMpro uses account fingerprinting to prevent abuse of the free tier. If you sign up multiple times with different emails but use the same Instagram or TikTok account, DMpro detects this, keeps free credits on your first account only, and blocks free credits on the extras until they subscribe to a paid plan.

Deleting your DMpro account removes your data from DMpro’s systems, cancels any active subscription, and is not reversible.

If you have an active paid subscription, cancel it first from Dashboard → Payments → Cancel subscription, then proceed with deletion. Account deletion itself currently requires a support request: email [email protected] from the address on your DMpro account, with the subject “Delete My Account,” including the email address on the account and a confirmation that you understand the deletion is not reversible.

When your deletion is processed, DMpro removes your user record, your prompts, your campaigns and their history, and zeroes your credit balance (which cannot be transferred or refunded), archives any gift links and coupons, cancels any pending or paid subscriptions, and later removes fingerprint records linking your Instagram or TikTok handle to your account. Anonymized payment records required by Stripe and tax authorities, and already-anonymized aggregated usage statistics, are retained for legal and financial compliance.

Deletion requests are processed within 7 business days, and you get an email confirmation once complete. If you change your mind afterward, you can sign up again with the same email, though prior data is not recoverable; if the deletion was within the last 30 days, you can email support to ask whether restoration is possible, though it is not guaranteed.

Note: If you are a resident of the EU, UK, California, or another jurisdiction with data protection laws, you have additional rights under GDPR/CCPA, including access, rectification, erasure, and portability. Email [email protected] with your request and your account email. Deletion is permanent, so if you are unsure, consider signing out or pausing your subscription first instead.
