How to connect your brandID profile

Connect your brandID page so your AI prompts can use your page link, display name and niche. It takes about two minutes.

6 stepsUpdated October 2026

Before you start

  • A brandID page (the part of its address after brandid.app/ is your handle)
  • A DMpro account
1

Start the Creator onboarding

brandID is connected only on the Creator step of onboarding. There is no brandID setting anywhere else. In the dashboard, click Onboarding at the top, pick I’m a Creator or Influencer and click Next. In the extension, the same step appears right after you sign up.

2

Type your brandID handle

The step is titled Connect your brandID link-in-bio. Under Your brandID handle, type the part of your page address that comes after brandid.app/. Use letters, numbers, dots, dashes and underscores only.

If you have no page, I don’t have one opens brandid.app in a new tab. Connecting is optional and Next works either way.

3

Click Connect brandID

DMpro looks up your public brandID account and shows a brandID connected banner with your page address, display name and niche. The niche is up to three of your brandID categories. If you have several pages, DMpro uses the published page whose name matches your handle, otherwise your first published page.

4

Choose what you pitch

Under What are you pitching brands?, pick one or both:

  • Collab with me: a short pitch plus your brandID link.
  • Rent my billboard ad spot (marked PREMIUM): offers brands the paid ad placement on your page.

This choice decides your starter prompt. If you pick neither, you get the Collab prompt.

5

Finish the remaining steps

Complete the platform and country step, check the prompt preview and click Finish. Your brandID details are saved at that moment, not when you click Connect brandID.

If you close onboarding before Finish, your brandID details are not saved. Connect again next time.
6

Use the brandID variables in a prompt

Once connected, the prompt editor offers three variables under “Your own details (from onboarding)”:

  • $brandidUrl: your page address
  • $brandidName: your display name
  • $niche: your niche
Write a short DM to $firstName. Introduce me as $brandidName, a $niche creator, and include my page: $brandidUrl.

Tips

  • DMpro does not refresh your brandID details by itself. After you change your brandID name, categories or page, run Onboarding again, pick Creator and click Connect brandID again.
  • Put each brandID variable on its own line in a prompt. If one is empty, DMpro removes it together with a short label in front of it.
  • brandID is optional, even for creators. Without it, write your name, niche and link into your prompt yourself.

If something goes wrong

DMpro cannot find my account.

An error appears under the handle field. Check the handle: it is only the part after brandid.app/, with no slashes or spaces. Then click Connect brandID again.

My brandID details were removed.

When you restart onboarding from the dashboard, the brandID step starts unconnected. If you click Finish without clicking Connect brandID again, including when you pick another persona, your brandID details are removed and the three variables are left out of your DMs.

How do I disconnect brandID?

There is no Disconnect button for brandID. Contact DMpro support to have it removed. Prompts that use the three variables then leave them out.
