Referrals & Rewards

Every contactID account has a permanent referral link and referral code, both found on the Referrals page in your dashboard’s left sidebar. The page includes:

• A link box with a one-click Copy Link button.
• An invite-by-email box for sending invitations directly.
• Live totals for people invited, activated, and subscribed, plus credits earned so far.
• A recent-referrals list, with each referral’s email partially masked for privacy.

Anyone who opens your link, signs up, and finishes onboarding is recorded as your referral, on any device. Each account can only ever be referred once, by one person, so the first link someone completes onboarding through is the one that counts.

Your friend gets a head start: +20 bonus website credits on top of the normal 30 free credits every new account receives, so they begin with 50 credits total.

You earn credits at two points in your friend’s journey:

• +25 credits when your friend activates, meaning they complete their first 5 form submissions (real usage, not just signing up).
• +100 credits the day your friend buys any paid plan.

All rewards land in your wallet’s extra credit pool immediately. They show up in your balance and ledger just like purchased credits, and they never expire separately from the rest of your balance.

Sign in to your dashboard at app.brandid.app, click Referrals in the sidebar, and your link sits right at the top of the page with a Copy Link button next to it.

Share it anywhere your audience trusts you: a chat, a community, your social bio, or an email signature. The link works from any device or browser.

A referral only counts once your friend actually finishes onboarding, not just from a page view. If someone opens your link and comes back days later on the same browser, they still count, since your referral code is remembered through the sign-up flow.

Beyond individual referral rewards, contactID tracks a milestone ladder based on your activated referrals, meaning friends who reached 5 completed form submissions:

• 3 activated referrals. Removes the signature from your own messages for 30 days. Reach 3 again to extend it.
• 5 activated referrals. +250 bonus credits.
• 10 activated referrals. +500 bonus credits.
• 25 activated referrals. Removes the signature from your messages for life. This stays removed even if you later subscribe (which also removes it) and then cancel.

Yes. On the Referrals page, type one or more addresses (comma or space separated) into the invite box and click Send Invites. contactID sends each person a short, honest invitation with your name, what contactID does, the bonus credits waiting for them, and your referral link.

• Up to 10 addresses per send.
• Up to 20 invites per day, per account.
• Invalid addresses and your own address are skipped automatically.

Each referral in your list shows one of four statuses:

• Signed Up. Onboarding is finished; your reward arrives at activation.
• Activated. They’ve completed 5 form submissions; your activation reward has been paid.
• Subscribed. They’ve bought a paid plan; your conversion reward has been paid.
• Revoked. The referral was withdrawn after a refund, chargeback, or fairness review, and any related rewards were reversed.

Up to 10 referrals per calendar month earn rewards automatically. Anything past that cap is held for a quick review, not lost, most commonly triggered by look-alike emails, a cluster of signups from one network, or exceeding the monthly cap.

Ground rules: each account can be referred exactly once, ever. Self-referrals never count, on any email variation. Rewards can be reversed if the referred account is later refunded, charged back, or closed for abuse.

None of this affects real recommendations to real people; genuine referrals never trip these protections.

When a held referral is released, everything the hold withheld is paid at once: your friend’s welcome credits, and your activation or subscription reward if your friend already reached that milestone while the referral was held.

Refunds and disputes. If a referred friend refunds or disputes a payment within 30 days of starting a plan, the subscription reward from that referral is reversed automatically and the referral is held for review. Activation rewards are not affected.

If the program is paused, your link keeps working and friends can still join; rewards resume the moment the program is back on. The Referrals page tells you when this is the case.
