Install & Permissions

Install the DMpro extension from the Chrome Web Store and understand exactly what browser permissions it needs.

Two-minute install:

  1. Open the DMpro extension on the Chrome Web Store
  2. Click Add to Chrome
  3. Approve the permissions prompt (see below for details)
  4. The extension installs and appears in your Chrome extensions menu
  5. Pin it to your toolbar for one-click access

Next step: sign in to your DMpro account from inside the side panel.

All Chromium-based browsers:

  • Google Chrome (primary target)
  • Microsoft Edge (install from Chrome Web Store)
  • Brave
  • Arc
  • Opera
  • Vivaldi

Firefox and Safari are not currently supported. They use different extension APIs and would need a separate build. If you need them, let us know via support so we can gauge demand.

On install, Chrome shows a permissions prompt. DMpro requests only what it needs:

  • Read and change your data on instagram.com and tiktok.com. Needed to read profile bios, follower counts, and to send DMs on your behalf when you click send.
  • Access to the side panel. To render the DMpro interface as a browser overlay.
  • Storage. To save your prompt templates, campaigns, and target lists locally.

DMpro does not request access to your other tabs, your browsing history, or unrelated sites. See {link(‘privacy-and-security’, ‘Privacy & Security’)} for the full policy.

Because DMpro is a side-panel helper operating on the Instagram and TikTok pages you’re viewing. Specifically it needs to:

  • Read the profile page: bio, follower count, recent post captions (all public data visible to any logged-in user).
  • Fill in the DM box with your AI-generated message and click send when you tell it to.
  • Detect when you navigate to a new profile so the side panel updates automatically.

DMpro never scrapes private data, private messages, or non-public accounts.

Pinning makes the DMpro icon always visible in your Chrome toolbar:

  1. Click the puzzle-piece icon in Chrome’s toolbar (extensions menu)
  2. Find DMpro in the list
  3. Click the pin icon next to it (thumbtack)

The DMpro icon now sits in your toolbar. Click it any time to open the side panel on the current tab.

Chrome auto-updates extensions in the background, so you usually don’t need to do anything. Updates happen when you next restart Chrome.

To force an immediate update:

  1. Go to chrome://extensions
  2. Toggle Developer mode on (top-right)
  3. Click Update at the top

Check your DMpro version by clicking Details on the extension card; the current release is shown there.

To remove DMpro:

  1. Right-click the DMpro icon in your toolbar
  2. Choose Remove from Chrome
  3. Confirm

Your DMpro account and any saved campaigns remain on our servers. If you also want to delete your account and data, see Privacy & Security. If you want to reinstall later, everything will be waiting for you.
