Getting Started

Create your account, install the extension, and understand how contactID works.

contactID is a Chrome side-panel extension that fills contact forms at scale from a list of target websites you supply. Add the sites you want to reach, and the extension opens each one, detects the contact form, fills every field with your information and pitch message, then submits. It’s part of the brandID family of business tools.

The three core pieces:

  • The web dashboard at app.brandid.app for agents, imports, AI personalization, billing, and results.
  • The Chrome extension (side panel) that opens tabs and fills forms in real time.
  • Your agents: saved sender profiles containing name, email, company, pitch message, and AI personalization prompt. See agents and profiles.

How a typical run works: import URLs then pick your agent, click Start Batch, and the extension opens tabs (see running campaigns for concurrency settings), detects the contact form on each site, fills it with your data, optionally personalizes the pitch via AI, submits, and moves to the next URL. What used to take a full day of clicking runs in the background while you work on something else.

Signup is free and passwordless. No credit card and no password required to get started.

  1. Visit the contactID sign-up page.
  2. Enter your email address, or click Continue with Google.
  3. If you signed up with email, check your inbox for a 6-digit verification code (subject: “<code> is your contactID verification code”).
  4. Enter the code to activate your account. Google sign-ups skip this step entirely.

Once verified, your account has 30 free website credits ready to use. You can add a password later if you want one (see below), but it’s never required at signup.

Right after your account is verified, a short onboarding flow asks a few quick questions to tailor your dashboard:

  • Your role (for example, founder, marketer, sales, agency).
  • Your industry.
  • Your primary goal for using contactID.
  • Estimated monthly outreach volume, used only to suggest a plan, not to lock you into one.

All four questions take under a minute, none of them are required to proceed, and every answer can be changed later from your account settings. Skip any step you’d rather fill in later.

Two-minute install from the Chrome Web Store.

  1. Open the contactID extension listing.
  2. Click Add to Chrome.
  3. Approve the permissions (see permissions explained).
  4. Pin the extension to your toolbar for one-click access to the side panel.

contactID works on all Chromium-based browsers: Chrome, Edge, Brave, Arc, Opera, Vivaldi. Firefox and Safari are not currently supported.

  1. Click the contactID icon in your Chrome toolbar to open the side panel, or go to app.brandid.app.
  2. Click Sign In.
  3. Enter your account email (you’ll get a 6-digit code) or click Continue with Google. If you’ve set a password, you can use that instead.
  4. The side panel switches to the working view: queue, agents, and credit balance.

Signing in on either the extension or the dashboard signs you into both at once, since they share a single session. See “One Sign-In For The Extension And The Dashboard” on the installing the extension page for details. You stay signed in across browser restarts; sign out from the account menu in either place.

The web dashboard at app.brandid.app is where you manage agents, buy credits, and review your full history. Its sections:

  • Home: credit balance, recent activity, active batches at a glance.
  • Agents: create and edit sender profiles. See agents and profiles.
  • AI Personalization: manage prompts and personalization settings. See AI personalization.
  • Websites: your saved and imported target-website lists. See finding websites.
  • Import Jobs: upload CSVs, monitor progress, review dedup summaries. See importing targets.
  • Activity: log of every send with status, screenshot, and export. See monitoring results.
  • Billing: plans, credit purchases, invoices, gift links. See billing and payments.
  • Account Settings: profile, security (including optional password), notifications, and account deletion.

The extension side panel is where sending actually happens: start, pause, and stop a batch, and watch the live queue.

contactID offers five plans, from a one-time free allowance through pay-as-you-go and four subscription tiers.

The plan ladder at a glance:

  • Free. 30 website credits, one-time (not monthly), and they never expire.
  • Pay-as-you-go (PAYG). No subscription. $0.15 per site.
  • Starter, $9.99/month. 100 sites included, extra sites at $0.15 each.
  • Growth, $49.99/month. 833 sites included, extra sites at $0.09 each.
  • Pro, $99.99/month. 3,333 sites included, extra sites at $0.05 each.
  • Scale, $199.99/month. 19,999 sites included, extra sites at $0.02 each, plus Bulk API access and priority support.

Which one fits you.

  • Occasional, low-volume outreach → PAYG
  • Around 100 sites a month → Starter
  • Several hundred sites a month → Growth
  • A few thousand sites a month → Pro
  • High-volume, API access, or agency scale → Scale

Annual billing takes 30% off any paid tier. Full plan details in plans and pricing.

Every new contactID account gets 30 free website credits so you can try the full platform end to end before deciding on a plan.

1. What’s included. The 30 free credits give full access to every feature, not a limited trial mode:

The only limit is total send volume, capped at 30.

2. Free credits are lifetime, not monthly. They’re granted once at signup and don’t refresh. Once used, upgrade or move to PAYG to keep sending.

3. Free credits never expire. Use 5 today, come back six months later, the remaining 25 are still there.

See plans and pricing for the full credit model.

No, contactID is passwordless by default. You sign up and sign in with an emailed 6-digit code or with Continue with Google, and no password is ever required.

If you’d prefer a password (for example, to sign in faster or as a backup sign-in method), you can set one any time from the dashboard’s Account Settings → Security page. It’s entirely optional.

Setting a password is worth doing before you delete your account: account deletion is confirmed with your password, so you’ll need one set first if you never created one.

To delete your account permanently:

  1. Sign in to the dashboard and open Account Settings.
  2. Scroll to the bottom of the page.
  3. Confirm with your password. If you never set one, add it on the Security page first.

What gets removed: your profile, agents, imports, Activity history, and AI Personalization prompt history.

What’s kept: payment and invoice records, retained for 7 years for accounting and legal purposes, and anonymized aggregate statistics that can’t be traced back to you.

If you have an active subscription and want a final invoice, cancel it before deleting your account.
