Agorapulse Review (2026): Features, Pricing, Pros & Cons

Agorapulse is a social media management platform built in Paris and best known for its inbox. Where many tools treat engagement as an extra, Agorapulse puts comments, messages, mentions and reviews in one place on every plan, then adds publishing, reporting and, since it bought Mention in 2025, social listening. It is aimed at social media managers, small teams and agencies that spend more time replying than posting.

It also changed a lot in 2026. The free plan ended on 6 July, per-user pricing replaced older plans, and X now needs a paid add-on. This review covers what Agorapulse does, what each plan includes, what a real team pays, where it falls short and who it suits. Every product and pricing fact comes from Agorapulse’s own pricing page and help center, checked on 6 October 2026, and anything we could not confirm is labeled.

Key Takeaways

Key Takeaways
  • What it is: a social media management platform with a unified inbox, publishing, reporting, listening (via Mention) and AI, sold per user.
  • Pricing: per user per month, billed annually: Standard 79, Professional 119, Advanced 149, Custom by quote. Monthly billing is 99, 149 and 199. Each plan includes 1 user and 10 social profiles.
  • The catch: every extra user costs the full plan rate, extra profiles cost 10 to 15 each, and X needs an add-on at 29 or 69 per profile that the pricing page does not show.
  • Strengths: an inbox on every plan, 24/7 support with fast response targets, approvals and shared calendars for clients, and a hosted MCP connector for ChatGPT, Claude and Copilot.
  • Reputation: 4.5 out of 5 on G2 from 974 reviews. Users praise ease of use and support and criticize price and reporting issues.
  • Best for: social media managers, small teams and agencies that need a strong inbox. Not for solo creators on a budget now that the free plan is gone.

What Is Agorapulse?

Agorapulse describes itself as a social media management platform that covers publishing, a unified inbox, listening, reporting and ROI measurement. Its pitch is that social media managers can see everything that needs a response, schedule content, and prove the results in one tool, with 24/7 support and fast answers.

The company was founded in France by Emeric Ernoult and Benoit Hediard, was bootstrapped until a 16.5 million euro round in September 2019, and is privately held. In April 2025 it acquired Mention, a social listening company, out of French receivership, and now sells Mention as its Advanced Listening add-on. Agorapulse’s website says more than 31,000 social media managers and 3,000 agencies use it, and press coverage of the Mention deal cited about 9,000 clients and 25 million euros in combined revenue. Those are different units and vendor or press figures, so treat them as indicative.

Key Features of Agorapulse

1. Unified inbox

The inbox is Agorapulse’s strongest area, and it is included on every plan. It handles Facebook and Instagram comments, DMs, mentions and reviews, Threads comments, X mentions and DMs, YouTube comments, TikTok post and ad comments, LinkedIn comments and mentions, and Google Business reviews. Two limits come from the networks: LinkedIn and TikTok direct messages cannot be synced.

Facebook and Instagram comments and DMs sync in real time while someone is logged in. Threads, YouTube, TikTok and LinkedIn comments sync every 15 minutes, and Google reviews every 2 hours on lower plans or 5 minutes on Advanced. Inline translation, inbox search, conversation notes and contact history are on every plan.

The plans differ in how much teamwork the inbox supports. Professional adds assignments, reply collision detection, custom inbox views, post-level moderation and ad comment moderation. Advanced adds saved replies, labels, filter presets, bulk inbox actions, advanced spam management and comment export. Sentiment is shown on Advanced, but filtering by sentiment is Custom only, and AI reply suggestions are Custom only.

Automated moderation lets you hide, delete, assign, label or apply sentiment to comments by rules, such as keywords, emojis, links, language or word count. Standard, Professional and Advanced are limited to one rule with one condition per profile, and Custom is unlimited. Inbox approval workflows, added in September 2026, let a manager approve replies before they go out: one approver on Professional and Advanced, unlimited on Custom.

2. Publishing and scheduling

Every plan includes unlimited scheduling, multi-network publishing, a unified calendar, drafts, audience targeting on Facebook and LinkedIn, an AI Writing Assistant, AI alt text and automatic UTM link tracking. The content library holds 10 images and 2 videos on Standard and Professional.

Professional adds first comments, calendar notes, Instagram grid preview, video subtitles, product tagging, internal comments, one-step approvals and the PulseLink link-in-bio page. Advanced adds publishing queues, bulk scheduling, bulk approval, recommended publishing times, post labels, custom fields and up to five shared calendars. Boosting Facebook posts and multi-step approvals are Custom only.

Bulk scheduling takes a CSV of up to 200 rows, on Advanced and Custom only. Queues hold up to 1,000 posts and support recurrence rules, so evergreen posts do not repeat too soon. Some limits come from the networks: only Facebook posts can be edited after publishing, Instagram Stories effects and TikTok effects must be added natively, and Bluesky posts are limited to 300 characters.

3. Reporting and ROI

Every plan includes profile, post performance and community management reports, a basic ROI report, white-label reporting with your logo and colors, PDF and CSV export and an AI summary. Professional adds a team performance report. Advanced adds cross-network group reports, label reports, custom date comparisons, scheduled report emails, PowerPoint export, an advanced ROI report and ads reporting for Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn.

Report Studio, launched in July 2026 for Advanced and Custom, is a drag-and-drop report builder with templates and branded PDF export. The Social Media ROI report combines Google Analytics 4 data with Agorapulse link data to show traffic, leads and sales from organic posts. The competitors report covers Facebook and Instagram only and includes 1 competitor on Standard and Professional and 6 on Advanced. Data syncs daily with a delay of 2 to 3 days, and data retention is 6 months on Standard, 12 on Professional and 24 on Advanced and Custom.

4. Social listening with Mention

Advanced Listening is an add-on for any plan, sold through sales, with no published price. It monitors Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, X, LinkedIn, Reddit and TikTok mentions plus thousands of news sites, blogs and forums, keeps up to 24 months of history, and offers sentiment, alerts, share of voice against up to nine competitors and an AI screening tool that removes irrelevant results. A 30-day trial gives one search. It does not identify influencers, and the mobile app cannot create listening searches.

5. AI, Archie and the MCP connector

The AI features are assistants rather than autonomous agents. They include the Writing Assistant, alt text, hashtag suggestions, an organization context for brand tone, report summaries and sentiment. Owners can switch each AI feature off.

Agorapulse also offers a hosted MCP connector for ChatGPT, Claude and Copilot, currently in beta. Through it an AI assistant can read your inbox, reply subject to your approval rules, read listening and performance data, and create draft posts and calendar notes, but it cannot publish. It follows each user’s own permissions and requires a paid plan with the AI tool.

Archie is a separate AI content tool that turns articles, PDFs, video and audio into platform-specific posts using a brand playbook. It became free for everyone on 21 September 2026, and Agorapulse says paid Archie plans will come later. No price has been announced.

6. Link in bio, mobile app and integrations

PulseLink is a link-in-bio page for Instagram, included from Professional, with a clickable post grid and click tracking. Mobile apps for iOS and Android are on every plan, but they cannot show reports, do bulk publishing or manage teams. Integrations on every plan include ChatGPT and Claude, Bit.ly, Google Analytics, Google Drive and Tenor. Canva starts on Professional, Zapier on Advanced, and Looker Studio, HubSpot, Salesforce, Slack, Microsoft Teams and the Reports open API are Custom only. We could not confirm that the old Chrome extension is still available.

7. Support, security and compliance

Support is available 24/7 on every plan, by email on all plans, live chat from Professional and video calls on Custom. First-response targets are under 6 hours on Standard, 2 hours on Professional, 1 hour on Advanced and 30 minutes on Custom. A dedicated Customer Success Manager and quarterly reviews are Custom only.

Agorapulse says it is SOC 2 compliant, audited through Vanta, and ISO 27001:2022 certified, with customer data hosted on AWS in Ireland and an annual penetration test. Two-factor authentication and profile-level access controls are on every plan. Single sign-on, custom roles and feature visibility controls are Custom only, and SSO works through OpenID Connect rather than SAML. A data processing agreement is available for GDPR.

The free plan ended on 6 July 2026, and the free option now is the Archie plan, which allows posts to be created only through Archie on Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn and YouTube. What Users Say About Agorapulse

On G2, Agorapulse scores 4.5 out of 5 from 974 reviews as of 6 October 2026. This is third-party opinion, not our own testing. We could not verify its Capterra figures because that page was behind a bot check.

What reviewers praiseWhat reviewers criticize
Easy to use and intuitivePrice, described as expensive
Everything in one inbox and calendarReporting accuracy and delays
Fast, helpful supportLimited TikTok support
Approvals and shared calendars for clientsThe tool changes often and can be hard to follow
Easy onboardingThe removal of the free plan

These themes come from G2 reviews and its tags, not from counted tallies, so read them as patterns rather than percentages. A Reddit summary published by a competitor, NapoleonCat, also found that pricing was the top complaint, mostly per-seat cost, the ten-profile ceiling and X as a paid add-on. Treat it as opinion.

How to Get Started With Agorapulse

  • Step 1. Start the free trial. Sign up at agorapulse.com/pricing. The 30-day trial needs no credit card.
  • Step 2. Connect your profiles. Add up to 10 profiles. Connecting Facebook or Instagram needs a personal Facebook profile.
  • Step 3. Set up the inbox. Add moderation rules and, on Professional, assignments.
  • Step 4. Plan content. Schedule posts, try queues if you are on Advanced, and invite an approver.
  • Step 5. Build a report. Use a template and check the ROI report with Google Analytics connected.
  • Step 6. Count users and X profiles. Add them to your cost before choosing a plan.

Final Verdict

Agorapulse is a strong choice for teams that live in their inbox. It gives you a real inbox on every plan, fast support, helpful approvals and a growing set of AI tools, including an MCP connector that few competitors have. Its weak points are the lack of a free plan, per-user pricing, the cost of X, and several useful features that start at Advanced.

Choose it if you are a social media manager or a small team that replies often and wants a tool that is easy to learn. Skip it if you are a solo creator on a tight budget or need SSO and an API without a custom quote. Try the 30-day trial and compare it with the other options in our best social media management tools guide.
