Publer Review (2026): Features, Pricing, Pros & Cons

Publer is a social media scheduler that competes on breadth and price. It supports 13 networks, including Mastodon, Bluesky, Telegram, Google Business Profile and WordPress, offers a free plan, and prices by social account instead of by seat. It is built by a small, bootstrapped team in Tirana, Albania, which makes it unusual in a category of venture-backed companies.

This review covers what Publer does, what each plan includes, how its per-account pricing really adds up, where it is limited and who it suits. Product and pricing facts come from Publer’s own pricing page, help center, trust center and blog, checked on 7 October 2026. Where Publer’s pages disagree or are silent, we say so.

Key Takeaways

Key Takeaways
  • What it is: a social media scheduler for 13 networks with queues, bulk upload, recycling, AI Assist, analytics, workspaces and approvals.
  • Pricing: per social account. Professional is 5 per month on monthly billing or 4 on annual billing, and Business is 10 or 8, each covering one account and one user. Extra accounts and members cost extra. A free plan covers 3 accounts.
  • Real cost: 10 accounts cost about 36 a month on Professional or 63 on Business on monthly billing, because the 10th account is free, according to Publer’s own price selector.
  • Strengths: very wide network support, a free plan, bulk CSV upload of up to 500 posts, unlimited workspaces on paid plans and Zapier on every plan.
  • Gaps: no social inbox, no white-label option found, and analytics, recycling, API and unlimited AI are Business-only.
  • Reputation: Capterra and Trustpilot ratings are very high, but Publer says it has encouraged reviews with discounts, so treat them with care.

What Is Publer?

Publer began as a side project. In 2012 its founder built a simple tool over a holiday weekend to schedule Facebook posts for his brother’s travel agency, and it grew into a full scheduler. Publer says it has never taken outside funding, reached profitability, and ended 2025 with about 3.3 million dollars of annual recurring revenue, up 70 percent. Its website cites between 480,000 and 500,000 users depending on the page.

The product is practical rather than flashy. A calendar and several scheduling modes sit at the center, with bulk upload, RSS automation, recycling of evergreen posts, an AI assistant and, on the higher plan, analytics. Teams get unlimited workspaces and client approvals. Publer also builds Linkie, a link-in-bio page, and Kibo, a separate unified inbox that is still at an early stage, so Publer itself has no inbox today.

Key Features of Publer

1. Networks and how posts are published

Publer lists 13 networks: Facebook (profiles, Pages, locations and groups), Instagram (Business and Creator), TikTok, X, Threads, LinkedIn (profiles and Pages), Pinterest, Mastodon, Google Business Profile, YouTube, Telegram, Bluesky and WordPress. We found no Snapchat, Reddit or Substack support. Instagram can be connected without a Facebook Page since 2025.

Most networks publish automatically. Facebook Groups and personal Facebook profiles are notification-only because Meta ended the API access, so Publer sends a push reminder through its mobile app. Instagram and TikTok Stories and Reels, and YouTube Shorts, can publish directly or by reminder, and direct Instagram Stories require a Business account, not a Creator account. X is paid-plans-only because of the cost of the X API, and the Free plan cannot connect it.

Publer’s help center documents the limits per network, such as 2,200 characters on Instagram, 300 on Bluesky, 500 on Threads and Mastodon, 3,000 on LinkedIn and 10,000 on Facebook.

2. Scheduling, bulk upload, recycling and RSS

Publer supports four scheduling methods: schedule at a set time, AutoSchedule into a queue, Recycle and Recurring. Each social account has its own posting schedule with many time slots. On Free, you can have 10 scheduled posts per account at a time and 25 drafts. Paid plans have no stated cap, subject to daily limits.

Bulk scheduling by CSV is on paid plans and accepts up to 500 posts in one upload, and a bulk media upload accepts up to 500 files. The Free plan accepts 5 posts per CSV. RSS auto-posting and a trending news and posts feed are on paid plans too.

Recycling and recurring posts, which republish evergreen content automatically with Spintax text variations, are on Business only. Publer notes that some networks do not allow duplicate content, including X, TikTok, YouTube, Pinterest, Google Business and WordPress.

Daily posting limits per profile on each plan. Networks’ own limits still apply.

3. AI Assist

AI Assist writes, rephrases and completes captions, generates images and alt text, suggests hashtags and drafts comment replies from a chat panel inside the composer. Publer says it also supports Brand Voices and answers informed by your analytics, and that it is powered by GPT models. Those model names are Publer’s own wording.

The key detail is how it is packaged. Business has unlimited AI prompts through Publer’s own account. On Free and Professional you can use AI by connecting your own OpenAI API key and paying OpenAI directly. Publer’s pricing page shows no per-plan credit counts and does not state a data-retention policy for AI.

4. Analytics, competitors and reports

Analytics is a Business-only feature. It provides an overview, post insights, hashtag analysis, best times to post, member activity, audience demographics and competitor analysis, plus PDF and Excel or CSV export and automated weekly or monthly reports by email. Data refreshes every 24 hours for posts from the last 7 days, and a manual sync can reach back up to three years. Account-level insights start only when you upgrade because networks do not provide the history.

Competitor analysis covers Facebook, Instagram and X. There are no insights for Telegram, Facebook Groups or Facebook personal profiles, and Google stopped post insights for Google Business in 2023.

5. Workspaces, roles and approvals

Professional and Business include unlimited workspaces, which are separate environments for brands or clients with their own accounts, members and media. Roles are Owner, Admin, Editor and Client. Approvals are two-tiered, so an Admin and a Client can both approve posts, with internal notes and tagging, and Admins can require two-factor authentication.

We did not find a white-label or branded client portal anywhere on Publer’s site, so agencies that want a branded client login should confirm before buying. Clients are workspace members rather than login-free reviewers.

6. No inbox, but Linkie and Kibo

Publer has no social inbox. Its roadmap describes Kibo, a separate unified inbox, as an early product that will later integrate with Publer. Existing engagement features are limited to AI-drafted replies and first comments. Publer’s link-in-bio tool is Linkie, which shows your Publer posts on a page and tracks views and clicks, with an unbranded Instagram link in bio on paid plans. Linkie’s own pricing could not be verified.

7. Mobile apps, extension, API and integrations

Publer has iOS and Android apps, and browser extensions for Chrome, Firefox, Edge, Opera and Safari on every plan. Zapier is available on all plans. The REST API and an MCP server for tools such as Claude and ChatGPT are for Business and Enterprise, with the API limited to 100 requests every 2 minutes. Publer’s pages disagree about whether MCP access is open to all Business users, so check before you rely on it. Integrations include Canva, Google Drive, Dropbox, OneDrive, Unsplash, Giphy and several link shorteners.

8. Security and support

Publer’s trust center says it aligns with ISO 27001:2022, has completed a Google CASA assessment, runs regular third-party penetration tests and complies with GDPR and CCPA. Two-factor authentication is on every plan. We could not verify SOC 2, SAML single sign-on or a data-hosting region. Support is by live chat and email on every plan, with 1:1 onboarding and priority support on Enterprise.

Publer’s pricing page opens on the yearly view, so the headline prices of 4 and 8 are annual-billing rates. Monthly billing is 5 and 10. Those base prices cover one social account and one user. Extra accounts and extra members are bought on sliders: Publer’s price selector shows roughly 4 per extra account on Professional and 7 on Business on monthly billing, and members cost 2 and 3 a month. Every 10th account or member is free, and annual billing takes about 20 percent off.

How we calculated this
The 1-account row is Publer’s published price. The 10-account figures are what Publer’s own selector showed when we read it, and the 3-user row adds two extra members at 2 and 3 a month, rounded, using our own arithmetic. Publer’s selector can change, and Publer displays prices in your local currency first, so check the US dollar line on its pricing page. Paid trials need a card, and Publer says a 1 dollar authorization is shown and released. Refunds are available within 14 days. Nonprofits get 50 percent off, and existing customers keep their old price.

Who Is Behind Publer?

Publer is run by Ervin Kalemi, the founder and CEO, from Tirana, Albania, with a small team that Publer’s site counts at 17 people. It says it is 100 percent bootstrapped and describes its history openly: breakeven in 2021, a loss of about 140,000 dollars on 1.5 million dollars of revenue in 2023, and 3.3 million dollars of annual recurring revenue at the end of 2025.

That openness is a plus, but it also means a small company. Publer’s trust center says it aligns with ISO 27001:2022, but we found no SOC 2 report or single sign-on, so enterprise buyers should ask for documents. Publer’s own pages give user counts between 480,000 and 500,000, which we cannot reconcile.

What Users Say About Publer

Publer’s ratings are very high. Capterra shows about 4.8 out of 5 from nearly 1,000 reviews, and Trustpilot about 4.9 from over 1,000 reviews. Both figures come from summaries of those pages, so they are lower confidence. Publer’s own site cites 4.7 on G2, but we could not read G2 directly because it was behind a bot check.

Read the ratings with care
Publer’s founder has said he began encouraging Capterra reviews with discounts, and Publer’s bonus system still gives up to 16 percent off for approved reviews on sites such as Capterra, Trustpilot and G2. That is allowed on those sites, but it probably raises the average and the review count.

Final Verdict

Publer is one of the best-value schedulers in this category. It offers a free plan, 13 networks, bulk upload, recycling, workspaces and approvals at a price that scales with the number of accounts. Its weaknesses are the absence of an inbox, analytics and recycling locked to the Business plan, and the lack of white-label or enterprise security evidence.

Choose it if you want broad network support and low cost, especially for solo creators, small businesses and small agencies. Skip it if you need an inbox, SSO or a branded client portal. Try the free plan or a trial and compare it with the tools in our guide to the best social media management tools.
