SocialBee Review (2026): Features, Pricing, Pros & Cons

SocialBee is a social media scheduler built around one idea: organize your posts into categories, then let a weekly schedule pick from each category. That makes it especially good at recycling evergreen content, and it is popular with small businesses, freelancers and agencies. It comes from a small Romanian team, and since 2024 it has belonged to the hosting software group WebPros.

This review covers what SocialBee does, what each plan includes, what you pay once you add extra users, where it falls short and who it suits. Product and pricing facts come from SocialBee’s own pricing page, help center, changelog and terms, checked on 7 October 2026. Where its pages disagree or do not say, we flag it.

Key Takeaways

Key Takeaways
  • What it is: a category-based scheduler with evergreen recycling, an AI Copilot, a social inbox, analytics and workspaces for agencies.
  • Pricing: Bootstrap, Accelerate and Pro cost 29, 49 and 99 a month on monthly billing, or 24.20, 40.80 and 82.50 billed yearly, for 5, 10 and 25 profiles. Agency plans cover 50 to 150 profiles.
  • Add-ons matter: extra users and workspaces cost 10 each a month, and 5 extra profiles cost 15. On Accelerate, two extra users make 10 profiles and 3 users cost less than Pro.
  • Strengths: evergreen re-queueing, unlimited AI generation with no credits, a 14-day trial with no card, and a 30-day money-back guarantee.
  • Limits: no free plan, no public API, no white label, a retired browser extension, and personal Facebook and Instagram profiles post only by mobile reminder.
  • Reliability: SocialBee’s own changelog reports a 13-hour scheduled-publishing outage on 27 and 28 July 2026 that was not made up afterward.

What Is SocialBee?

SocialBee started in 2016 as a few spreadsheets in a co-founder’s apartment. Its public page names the founders as Ovi, Vlad and Tzu, and Romanian press names the owners at the sale as Vlad Hosu, Ovidiu Negrean and Vlad Ardelean. It took a small minority investment in 2017, went fully remote in 2020, and was bought by WebPros, a hosting software group, in August 2024. The price was not disclosed. SocialBee also sells ConciergeBee, a done-for-you agency service, which is separate from the software.

The core feature is the content category. A category is a bucket such as blog posts, promotions, quotes or tips. You fill each category with posts, then set a weekly schedule that says how many posts from each category go out and when. Posts in an evergreen category can be re-queued, so the same useful posts return automatically, and posts can expire after a number of shares or on a date.

Key Features of SocialBee

1. Networks and how posts publish

Direct publishing covers Facebook Pages, Instagram Business and Creator accounts, LinkedIn personal profiles and Company Pages, Pinterest, Google Business Profile, YouTube videos and Shorts, TikTok, Threads and Bluesky. SocialBee’s pages are ambiguous about X for customers who are not on a lifetime plan, so check before you rely on it.

Several account types publish only by reminder: personal Facebook profiles, Facebook Groups, personal Instagram accounts and Universal Posting networks such as WhatsApp, Telegram, Mastodon and Quora. SocialBee sends a push notification and you finish the post in the app. SocialBee’s pages also disagree on whether Facebook Groups can publish directly, so treat that as unconfirmed.

2. Categories, scheduling and recycling

Categories are the center of the product. Bootstrap allows 10 categories with up to 1,000 posts each, Accelerate allows 50 with 5,000 each, and Pro is unlimited. Each category can set UTM tags, link shortening and whether posts are re-queued or shared once. You can pause a category with one click.

The scheduler has calendar, list, grid and overview views, best-time suggestions and drafts, but SocialBee’s own help center labels it beta. CSV upload, the bulk editor and the hashtag organizer start on Accelerate. RSS import is limited to 10, 50 or unlimited feeds, and SocialBee also connects to the Quuu curation service. We could not find per-day posting limits or CSV size limits.

3. AI Copilot and AI generation

AI Copilot reads your website or a short chat, then proposes platforms, up to 5 content categories, a posting plan and up to 10 ready-to-edit posts. AI captions and images have no monthly cap or credit system on any plan. Each request can return up to 10 caption variations and up to 4 images. SocialBee says this may change in the future, and it relies on a third-party AI provider.

4. Engage: the social inbox

Engage collects comments, mentions and direct messages in boards and streams, with notes and notifications, on all three standard plans. Coverage depends on the account: Facebook Pages and Instagram Business get comments, mentions and DMs, Threads, LinkedIn Company Pages and X get mentions and comments, and YouTube gets comments. Pinterest, TikTok Business, personal profiles and Google Business have no inbox. We found no comment or DM automation.

5. Analytics

Analytics covers audience, profile growth, post and category performance, post types and a daily engagement map, per network. History is 3 months on Bootstrap and 2 years on Accelerate and Pro. Advanced analytics start on Accelerate, and branded PDF exports are on Pro only, one profile at a time. Paid versus organic is available for Facebook only, and YouTube analytics cannot be exported.

6. Workspaces, roles and approvals

A workspace is one business or client. Roles are Owner, Manager, Publisher and Contributor. Accelerate adds a post approval system, and internal notes are on Pro only. Bootstrap and Accelerate have one workspace and one user, and Pro has 5 workspaces with 3 users each. The agency plans allow 10, 20 or 30 workspaces with 5 users each. We found no client portal or white-label option.

7. Mobile app, extension, API and security

The mobile app is a reminders companion, not a full management app. SocialBee retired its browser extension in March 2026. It has no public API, though Zapier, Pabbly Connect and Make work on every plan, and Canva, Unsplash, GIPHY and several link shorteners are integrated. Two-factor authentication exists. We could not verify SOC 2, ISO 27001 or a data-hosting region.

SocialBee has one pricing page, and it opens on the yearly view, so the headline prices of about 24, 41 and 83 are yearly rates. Monthly billing costs 29, 49 and 99. Yearly plans cost 10 months of the monthly price, which SocialBee labels 16 percent off. The monthly prices of the agency plans appear in the help center, not on the public pricing page, and the help center says agency yearly plans go through its success team, while the page shows a self-serve button, so confirm before you buy. There is no free plan, the trial lasts 14 days with no credit card, and the 30-day money-back guarantee covers the first purchase only, not renewals.

A cheaper route to 3 users
Pro looks like the plan for 10 profiles and 3 users, at 82.50 a month on yearly billing. But Accelerate already has 10 profiles, and two extra users add 200 a year. That comes to 690 a year, or 57.50 a month, which is lower than Pro. Pro still wins if you need 5 workspaces, branded PDF reports or internal notes. SocialBee also says a Free Collaborator License exists, but we could not find its terms.

Who Owns SocialBee?

SocialBee LABS SRL is a Romanian company that says it is part of WebPros. WebPros is a Luxembourg-based group of hosting and web automation software. The sale was reported in August 2024 and its value was not disclosed. SocialBee’s own pages do not list current leadership, headcount or customer numbers, so we do not quote any. That is worth knowing if you plan a long contract.

What Users Say About SocialBee

Trustpilot shows 3.6 out of 5 from 58 reviews on SocialBee’s profile, which is a small sample, and some reviews concern its concierge service rather than the software. Recent reviews praise friendly support and a good platform, while others describe downtime, Instagram posting problems and slow ticket resolution. G2 loaded blank and Capterra was behind a bot check, so we do not quote their numbers.

Check the reliability record
SocialBee publishes a changelog of incidents. In 2026 it lists a Meta outage in June, a SocialBee API outage on 18 to 20 July that hit the mobile app, Zapier and Make, the 13-hour publishing outage on 27 and 28 July, a TikTok posting problem from August to September, and Pinterest and Threads issues. Publishing a public incident log is a good sign, but ask how scheduled posts are protected before you depend on it.

Final Verdict

SocialBee is a distinctive scheduler. Category-based planning and evergreen re-queueing make it very good for recurring content, its AI generation has no credits, and the trial is generous. Its weaknesses are the missing free plan, no public API or white label, reminder-only posting for personal profiles, and a recent outage that it did not make up.

Choose it if you publish a lot of evergreen content and want a simple weekly structure. Skip it if you need white label, an API or reliable personal-profile publishing.
