Account & Page Settings

Account & Page Settings

Everything about your profile, password, billing, and the settings that control your domain, purchase emails, payments, branding, and how visitors share your page.

Go to Account (brandid.app/account) and open the My Profile card. Edit First Name, Last Name, or Email Address, then click Save Changes. The button stays disabled until you’ve actually changed something.

If you only changed your name, you’ll see a green confirmation: “Your profile has been updated.” Changing your email works a little differently, see the next question.

Changing your email doesn’t save instantly, brandID needs to confirm you own the new address first. After you save, you’ll see: “We sent a confirmation link to your new address, click it to finish updating your email.”

Open that email and click the link. It takes you to a confirmation page that shows one of three states:

  • Confirming your new email address… while it processes
  • A success message once your email is verified and updated
  • An error message if the link is invalid or expired

That page always has a “Go to Account” link so you can get back to your dashboard.

Tip: If the link has expired, just go back to My Profile and re-save your email address to get a fresh confirmation link.

On Account, open the Change Password card. Fill in Current Password, New Password, and Confirm New Password, then click Update Password. Your new password needs to be at least 6 characters, and the confirm field has to match exactly.

On success you’ll see “Password updated successfully.” and all three fields clear automatically.

Note: If you get “Please enter your correct current password,” double-check what you typed in the Current Password field. If you get a message about your new password matching your old one, pick a different password.

Also on the Account page, the Email Subscribe card has a toggle that switches between “You’re subscribed” and “You’re unsubscribed.” This only controls product updates and offers from brandID, it’s a marketing-email preference, not a way to opt out of everything.

You’ll always still receive essential account and transactional emails (like receipts or password resets) no matter how this toggle is set. New accounts start out subscribed by default.

Go to Account > Billing (brandid.app/account/billing). The Plan card shows your current plan name, status, and price, with “Change plan,” “Cancel,” or “Resume” actions depending on where you’re at. If you don’t have an active plan, you’ll see “No active plan.” with a “View plans” link.

Further down, the Payment history card lists your past purchases with a Prev/Next pager if you have more than one page of history. If you haven’t paid for anything yet, it just says “No purchases yet.”

On Account > Billing, the Plan card shows a Cancel button whenever your plan is active, there’s no confirmation dialog, so only click it when you’re sure.

If you cancelled a plan billed through Stripe, a Resume button appears while your cancellation is pending, letting you undo it before it takes effect.

Note: If your plan is billed through PayPal or Authorize.Net, cancelling is immediate and there’s no resume option. Either way, you keep access until the expiration date that was already recorded for your account.

If your plan covers more than one page, a Pages on your plan card appears on Account > Billing. Each spot on the plan is called a seat. The card lists which of your pages currently occupy a seat.

  • Click Remove next to a page to free its seat immediately (no confirmation needed).
  • Click Add a page to a free seat to open a picker: search for and check the pages you want to add, up to the number of free seats you have, then confirm.

If a page you’re adding is already on another paid plan, you’ll see a warning naming that plan. If the other plan is a one-time/lifetime purchase or billed through PayPal, you’ll need to tick an extra “I understand, move it/them anyway” checkbox before you can proceed, since that move can’t be undone.

Tip: Filling an empty seat doesn’t cost anything extra, and freeing one doesn’t lower your bill. If all your seats are full, the card tells you to remove a page or buy a plan with more seats before you can add another.

Account (brandid.app/account) is about you: your name, email, password, and billing. Settings (brandid.app/settings) is about how your page behaves and looks to the world.

Settings is organized as 5 collapsible sections, in this order: Custom domain, Purchase emails, Payments, Logo & Branding, and Share your page. There’s a “Collapse all” / “Expand all” toggle at the top, and on larger screens you’ll also see a live preview of your page next to the settings so you can check your changes as you make them. On mobile and tablet, only the settings list shows.

Open the Custom domain section in Settings, type your domain into the “Your domain” field (for example, www.yourbrand.com), and click Verify domain. This single click both saves the domain and checks its status, the button shows “Verifying…” while it works, then a status badge appears: Pending, Connected, or Error.

You’ll also need to point your DNS at brandID: add a CNAME record with host/name www pointing to the target value shown in the DNS reference card (normally connect.brandid.app). DNS changes usually take effect within minutes, but can take up to 24 hours to fully propagate.

Use the Default bio URL dropdown to choose which of your pages the custom domain should point to.

Note: Custom domain is a premium feature. If your plan doesn’t include it, the button relabels to “Upgrade to add” with a lock icon, and clicking it opens an upgrade prompt instead of verifying. See our Plans & Billing guide for which plans include it.

Open the Purchase emails section in Settings. Click New email template to open the editor: give it an Email title, write the Email body in the rich text editor, and set the scheduling (a number from 1 to 30, plus a unit like seconds, minutes, hours, days, or weeks, shown as “X [unit] after purchase”). Click Save & Exit when you’re done.

Don’t want to start from scratch? Click Load Templates to browse a catalog of ready-made templates, preview them, and select one to pre-fill the title and body.

To make changes later, click the pencil icon on any template to reopen the editor. To remove one, click the trash icon, you’ll get a confirmation (“Delete this email template? … This cannot be undone.”) before it’s gone for good.

Templates can include placeholder tokens that get filled in automatically, like {product_name}, {product_link}, {order_number}, {purchase_date}, {buyer_name}, {seller_name}, {seller_username}, {seller_storeurl}, and {support_email}.

Tip: Haven’t written one yet? The empty state says it plainly: “Write your first purchase email, it’ll send automatically once someone buys.”

The Payments section is where you choose how money from your sales gets collected. You pick between two radio cards:

  • Use my own gateways, your connected Stripe or PayPal account receives funds directly
  • Use brandID payments, brandID processes the payment on your behalf, subject to brandID’s fees and terms

Your choice saves automatically as soon as you pick it. If you choose your own gateways, each one shows a Connect button that takes you to Stripe or PayPal’s own onboarding flow, a “Check status” icon to re-check your connection, and “Continue setup” if you started but didn’t finish connecting.

This section is just the entry point for connecting a payout account, status, and disconnecting. For the full picture on payout methods, fees, and how money actually reaches you, see our Payments & Payouts guide.

Open the Logo & Branding section in Settings. Click the upload area or drag and drop a file, it needs to be a PNG or JPEG under 6 MB. Once uploaded, a crop tool opens (locked to a square ratio), and confirming saves your logo.

From the same section you can also set:

  • Website URL, an optional link for your logo, must be a valid URL if you fill it in
  • Width / Height, optional custom sizing in pixels (off by default)
  • Alignment, a 3×3 grid for logo placement, defaulting to bottom center
  • Remove brandID branding, a toggle that hides brandID’s own branding from your page

Note: Removing brandID branding is a PRO feature. On a plan that doesn’t include it, uploading, replacing, or toggling branding options is dimmed, and clicking opens an upgrade prompt instead.

This section controls the reshare buttons visitors see on your public page, letting fans spread the word. In Settings, open Share your page and write a short message (up to 250 characters) in the Message box. If you leave it empty and click into it, brandID auto-fills a default: “I’ve just updated my brandID with my latest content – Check it out here!”

Then flip on any of the channel toggles you want to offer: Facebook, LinkedIn, X / Twitter, WhatsApp, or Email. Turning on a channel while the message is blank fills in that same default message automatically, so a channel never goes live with no message attached.

Your brandID page URL is added to the message automatically, you don’t need to include it yourself.

Account and Settings show errors as plain inline text right in the card or form you’re using, there’s no separate notification center. A few common ones:

  • “This email is already registered to another account.” Try a different email, or log in with the existing one.
  • “New password should be at least 6 characters long.” Choose a longer password.
  • “Please enter your correct current password.” Re-check what you typed.
  • “This confirmation link is invalid or has expired.” Go back to My Profile and re-save your email to get a fresh link.
  • “Something went wrong on our end. Please try again.” A temporary issue, wait a moment and retry.

For domain, gateway, or template errors specifically, the message usually tells you exactly what to check (for example, DNS settings for a failed domain verification). If something still won’t clear up, our Troubleshooting guide has more general fixes.
