Chrome Extension

The Chatgram Chrome extension is available on the Chrome Web Store. To install:

1. Open the Chrome Web Store
2. Search for “Chatgram”
3. Click Add to Chrome
4. Configure the extension with your public key (see below)

The extension lets you add Chatgram-style contact support to sites or tools you don’t own but need to receive feedback for.

The Chrome extension is useful in a few specific situations:

• You’re building or testing a site and want to route feedback to Chatgram without installing the full widget yet
• You use a third-party tool that doesn’t let you install a widget, but you want to give team members a way to send you feedback while they use it
• You want a “meta” contact channel across everywhere you browse without touching individual sites

For most typical use cases (your own website, app, or store), install the appropriate widget / plugin / app instead. The extension is a specialised tool.

Because a Chrome extension doesn’t have a “domain” the way a website does, Chatgram uses a public key to identify which admin should receive messages.

1. First, register and verify a domain on Chatgram (see Domain Verification)
2. Grab the public key for that website from the Telegram bot or admin panel
3. Open the Chatgram Chrome extension’s settings
4. Paste the public key into the configuration field

The extension uses that key to identify which admin should receive each message.

Yes, depending on how you configure it. The extension is bound to a public key, and that key points to one of your verified Chatgram websites. So:

• If you have multiple Chatgram websites, you can configure the extension to point to whichever one you want
• Messages sent from the extension will always go to the admin of that specific website

You can’t easily route different browser tabs to different Chatgram websites from the same extension install. If you need that, contact Chatgram support to discuss.

Currently, Chatgram’s browser extension is officially available for Chrome. Extensions built for Chrome usually work in other Chromium-based browsers too (Edge, Brave, Arc, Opera) via the Chrome Web Store or by side-loading, though this isn’t officially supported.
