Getting Started
Everything you need to sign up, verify your account, and set up your first brandID page from scratch.
brandID is a link-in-bio and creator page platform. You claim a single web address at brandid.app/yourname and use it to host every link, product, and monetization tool your audience needs, all from one page: links, shoppable posts, digital downloads, tip jars, paid subscriptions, a blog, and more.
Signing up creates your creator account. A short onboarding walkthrough then helps you claim your handle and build your first page in a few guided steps.
Go to brandid.app/signup. Enter your first name, last name, email address, and a password (at least 6 characters), agree to the Terms and Conditions and Privacy Policy, then select “Register now – It’s free!”
If you arrived through an invite link, you’ll see a banner letting you know you’ve been invited. Completing signup through that link may unlock a free gift plan on your account automatically.
Either works. Choosing “Continue with Google” opens a small popup where you sign in with your Google account. Once you approve it, brandID creates your account and signs you in automatically, no password to remember and no separate verification step, since Google has already confirmed your email address.
If you sign up with email and password instead, you’ll need to verify your email before you can log in. See the next question for how that works.
Tip: if a Google sign-in popup doesn’t appear, check that your browser isn’t blocking popups for brandid.app, then try again.
Yes, if you signed up with email and password. After you sign up, brandID sends a verification email and takes you to a “check your inbox” screen. Click the link in that email to confirm your account.
If it doesn’t arrive, check your spam or junk folder and move it to your primary inbox. If you try to log in before verifying, you’ll see “Please verify your email address to continue.” with a link to resend the verification email.
Note: verification links expire. If yours has expired, sign in and request a new one from the login screen.
On the login page, select “Forgot your password?” and enter your email address at brandid.app/forgot-password.
You’ll always see a “check your inbox” confirmation, whether or not that email has an account attached, so nobody can use this screen to figure out who is or isn’t registered. If an account exists, you’ll receive a reset link by email.
Click the link, choose a new password (at least 6 characters, and different from your current one), confirm it, and submit. You’ll be sent straight back to the login page to sign in with your new password.
Note: reset links expire. Request a new one if yours no longer works.
Yes. On the login page, select “Login with Direct Link” and enter your email in the popup that appears. brandID emails you a one-time sign-in link; click it and you’re signed in, no password needed.
This is handy if you’ve forgotten your password but still have access to your inbox. Like reset and verification links, these expire, so request a new one if it doesn’t work.
After you verify your email (or sign in with Google for the first time), brandID takes you to the Claim step to pick the unique web address for your page, for example brandid.app/yourname.
Your handle can be 3 to 30 characters: lowercase letters, numbers, periods, and underscores only. Type a handle and brandID checks its availability as you go, or pick one of the suggested handles based on your name or email.
- Already have a Linktree page? Switch to “Import existing,” paste your Linktree URL, and brandID scrapes it and builds a preview of your new page for you to confirm, skipping manual setup for your links.
- If the handle you check already belongs to you, the button changes to “Continue setup” so you don’t accidentally reclaim it.
Tip: if you started claiming a handle but didn’t finish setup, coming back to this step shows a banner: “You already claimed a handle. Continue setup.” Click it to pick up right where you left off.
Next, you add the display name, bio, and photo that will appear on your public page. Upload a photo (5MB or smaller) and crop it to a square, or use the default avatar if you’d rather set a photo later.
Add a display name and a short bio (up to 160 characters). A live preview shows how your page will look as you type. There’s no “back” button on this step by design, since it follows right after claiming your handle. Once saved, you move on to choosing your goal.
This step asks what you’re mainly using brandID for, so brandID can tailor later steps to you. You can select one or more goals:
- Earn with affiliate products
- Create a branded link-in-bio page
- Monetize and sell (digital and physical products, tips, subscriptions, ad space, and more)
- Translate videos using AI
- Run an SEO-optimized blog
Pick at least one to continue.
Here you choose a page type, Personal, Business, or Creator, and one or more industry categories (like Fashion, Tech, or Fitness) that describe what your page is about. Search for a category or pick from the popular suggestions shown.
This selection is used to filter the templates you’ll see on the next step, so pick what best matches your page. You’ll need at least one page type and one industry selected to continue.
Browse templates filtered by the industry categories you chose, or switch categories using the pill buttons at the top. Select “View” on any template to preview it live before choosing it, or start from Blank if you’d rather design your page from scratch.
Your selection gets a checkmark once picked. Don’t worry about getting it perfect here: you can always adjust colors, fonts, and layout later from the Design tab.
On the Links step, add the buttons you want visitors to see, each with a title and a URL. A fresh page starts with two sample links already in place that you can edit or delete.
Important: submitting this step actually publishes your page, so your page goes live as soon as you continue. A hidden “Email Me” link using your account email is added automatically behind the scenes.
Next, the Social Links step lets you optionally connect channels like Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, and more, with your account email pre-filled to start. You can select “Skip for now” to bypass this step entirely and add socials later from your dashboard.
The Launch step confirms your page is live at brandid.app/yourname, with buttons to copy the link, view your page, or share it directly (including to Instagram). You’ll also see a short intro video and a few suggested next steps: add more links, customize colors and fonts, and check your analytics after sharing.
Select “Go to dashboard” to head into your admin area and keep building your page.
If you already have a bio-link page and want to start a new one, use the “Add page” action from your dashboard, which takes you to brandid.app/claim.
It’s the same Claim screen you saw the first time, and it walks you through the same steps (profile, goal, industry, template, links, socials, launch) for your new page. Unlike the one-time claim step during your original signup, /claim is reusable any time you want to create another page.
