Content Blocks

Content Blocks

Everything about the non-commerce blocks you can add to your brandID page: links, blog posts, media, forms, giveaways, layout elements, and embedded apps.

A block is any piece of content or functionality on your brandID page, a link, a blog post, a gallery, a form, and so on. Blocks are not separate pages, they’re all built right inside your editor at brandid.app/admin.

To add one, open the block picker (the “+ Add” tile grid, also called the Discover modal). It’s organized into six sections:

  • Shop (Monetize): products, tipping, subscriptions, billboards, and other selling blocks (covered in the Selling & Commerce Blocks article).
  • Links: Links, Custom Links, Email Me, Websites, Social Channels.
  • Content: Blog, Image, Carousel (Gallery), Video, Audio, Podcasts, Promo Code, QR Code, Media Kit, Download, Location/Map.
  • Actions: My Contact, Receive Contact Details, Giveaways.
  • Design elements: Divider, Top Menu, Header, Text Passage, Banner, Button, Spacer.
  • Embed Apps: Typeform, Twitch, Facebook, Calendly, Pinterest, YouTube, GoFundMe, TikTok, Spring Shop, and more.

Tap a tile and the block is added to your page. Depending on the block, its settings open either as a panel that expands right there in your block list, or as a wizard/pop-up that walks you through setup.

Tip: use the “Search items…” box at the top of the block picker to jump straight to a block by name instead of scrolling through the sections.

Nothing, under the hood. “Links,” “Websites,” “Podcasts,” and “Button” are four different picker tiles (with different icons and labels so you can pick the one that matches what you’re adding) that all create the exact same simple block: a single URL button.

Once added, you can set:

  • The destination URL, entered right on the block’s row in your editor.
  • An optional thumbnail image shown beside the link.
  • Which tab it appears under if you’re using a Top Menu.
  • Style options: animation, text color, text size, and a font picker with over 1,000 fonts to browse.

A Links/Websites/Podcasts/Button block stays unpublished on your live page until you’ve entered a URL for it.

Custom Links is a gallery block, meaning it can hold many individual link cards, each with its own thumbnail, title, description, and button text.

  1. Add the “Custom Links” tile from the Links section. This expands a gallery card in your editor.
  2. Click the dashed “Add link” button. A two-step wizard opens.
  3. Step 1: pick what kind of destination this is, Custom Link, Shopping, or Social Media (it will auto-detect the platform from the URL you paste), then paste the destination URL.
  4. Click “Continue” to move to Step 2: add an optional title (up to 100 characters) and description (up to 500 characters), a required button text (up to 50 characters), and a required thumbnail image (16:9 recommended, PNG/JPG/WebP).
  5. Click “Save & publish” to create the card. When editing an existing card you’ll instead see “Save changes” plus a “Publish on profile” toggle.

If the URL is missing or invalid you’ll see “Please enter a valid URL starting with https://”. Missing a thumbnail or button text blocks saving with “Please upload a thumbnail.” or “Please add button text.” Deleting a card asks you to confirm first, since it can’t be undone.

Email Me is a contact-form button. When you add it, its setup wizard opens automatically (no extra click needed).

  1. Step 1: enter the email address you want to receive messages at, your button text (up to 50 characters, defaults to something like “Contact Me”), and pick a featured icon (upload your own image or choose from the icon library). The first time you set it up, you can also check “Show it in bio as a social icon too.”
  2. Click “Next” once your email is valid and your button text is filled in.
  3. Step 2: choose which details fans must fill in. Email and Message are always on. You can add other fields, but at least one field must stay marked Required, and at least two fields total must be enabled.
  4. Click “Save & Exit” to finish. The block only goes live on your page once this step completes.

To edit it later, reopen it with the pencil icon on its summary card. Deleting it asks “Delete this Email Me form?” and warns that your collected contact settings will be lost for good.

These are two separate blocks in the Actions section of the block picker, alongside Giveaways. “My Contact” is built for sharing your own contact information with visitors, while “Receive Contact Details” is built for collecting contact information from your visitors.

If you’re not sure which one fits what you’re trying to do, open the block picker and check each tile’s preview before adding it, or reach out to support for guidance.

Social Channels lives in the Links section of the block picker, next to Links, Custom Links, Email Me, and Websites. It’s the block for pointing visitors to your social profiles. If you also set up Email Me, you can additionally choose to show that contact button as a social icon in your bio row.

The Blog block holds a collection of written posts and displays them as a swipeable card slider on your live page.

  1. Add the “Blog” tile from the Content section. This adds a Blog block and expands its card in your editor.
  2. Click the dashed “New post” tile to open the post editor.
  3. Fill in a title, drag or browse in a featured image (JPG/PNG, up to 5MB, required to publish), and write your post in the rich-text editor. A live counter shows how many characters you still need to hit the minimum.
  4. Optionally expand “SEO & social · optional” to set a search-engine title/description/keywords, an Open Graph title (60 characters max) and description (200 characters max), a canonical link, and a publish date (today or later).
  5. Click “Preview” to open a live preview in a new tab, or “Publish” once your title, image, and minimum description length are all in place. “Save as draft” always takes the post off your live page, even if it was published before.

Each post shows a Published/Draft pill and a publish toggle of its own. The Blog block auto-publishes on your page the moment it has one post, and auto-unpublishes if you remove them all. Deleting a post asks you to confirm, since it can’t be undone.

Note: if your plan has a limit on the number of blog posts, the “New post” tile dims and shows a lock icon once you hit it. Tapping it still works, it just opens an upgrade prompt instead of the editor.

Carousel (Gallery) is a swipeable slider that can mix images and videos in one block.

  1. Add the “Carousel (Gallery)” tile from the Content section.
  2. Drop or browse files into either the images dropzone (25MB max per file) or the videos dropzone (100MB max per file).
  3. Your first image lets you crop it into Landscape, Portrait, Square, or Story, and every later slide is locked to that same shape.
  4. Slides appear in a grid where you can drag to reorder, hover to Replace or Remove a slide, or clear everything with “Remove all.”
  5. Once you have at least 2 slides, the block automatically goes live on your page.
  6. Open the Style panel to control Autoplay, playback Speed, which slide shows first, arrows/dots visibility, Center mode (only available at 3+ slides), Rows, how many slides show per screen size, and Square vs Rounded slide corners.

Oversized files are rejected with “File must be 25MB or smaller.” or “File must be 100MB or smaller.” If you remove every slide, the block unpublishes and shows “No slides yet, add at least 2 items to make the carousel swipe.”

Image, Video, and Audio are their own single-item tiles in the Content section of the block picker, separate from Carousel (Gallery). Where Carousel holds a swipeable set of multiple images and videos together, these blocks are for adding one photo, one video, or one audio clip on its own.

These four also live in the Content section of the block picker:

  • QR Code: displays a scannable QR code block on your page.
  • Media Kit: a block for sharing your media kit with visitors.
  • Download: a block for offering a file for visitors to download.
  • Location/Map: a block for showing a location or map on your page.

Add whichever one fits from the block picker and fill in its fields the same way you would any other block, drop in your content, then adjust placement and style from that block’s own panel.

Promo Code creates a discount-code card that sends visitors to your store.

  1. Add the “Promo Code” tile from the Content section.
  2. Fill in your Store link (e.g. https://yourstore.com).
  3. Upload a square Product image (JPG or PNG, 800x800px recommended).
  4. Add a required Title (max 50 characters) and an optional Description (max 240 characters).
  5. Under “Offer details,” enter or click “Generate” for a Promo code (uppercased automatically, max 32 characters). Toggle “Show discount” to display a % or $ amount, which powers a live “they save / they pay” example cart calculator. Set your Button label (defaults to “Go to store”).
  6. Pick a Card layout, Classic or Featured, and style options like animation, text color/size, button color, and font.

The card auto-publishes once its title and product image (and discount amount, if you’ve turned that on) are filled in, and it never auto-unpublishes on its own. Missing fields block publishing with messages like “Add a title before publishing this promo.” or “Enter a discount percentage before publishing this promo.”

Giveaways is a contest block for growing your follows or email list. It opens as a four-tab panel: Setup, Email, Appearance, and Analytics.

  1. Setup: choose your entry method, Task-Based Entry (fans complete tasks like following you on Instagram/TikTok, sharing your page, leaving a comment, referring a friend, watching a video, or a custom task you write) or Scratch Card (fans reveal one of the coupon codes you’ve listed, and you set the website where they redeem it). Then choose which fan details to collect (Email is always required; you can add more, including custom fields).
  2. Choose delivery timing: “Direct Deliver on Submission” (instantly by email, on-screen, or both) or “Announce Later” (set an announcement date/time, a waiting message, and how winners are chosen: random draw, first N entries, or manual pick).
  3. Fill in your Start/End Date, Giveaway Title, Description, and a required Button Label.
  4. Email tab: customize the Entry Confirmation and Winner Notification email templates, with tokens like {{fan_name}} and {{giveaway_title}} you can drop into the subject or body.
  5. Appearance tab: featured image, a scratch-card theme (Classic Gold, Purple Magic, or Brand Red), background, button style, and text styling.
  6. Analytics tab: see your submission stats and entries table, export entries as a CSV, and for random-draw giveaways, click “Draw Winner Now” to pick a winner, then “Notify Winner by Email.”

Before anyone enters, the Analytics tab shows “No submissions yet. Share your giveaway to start collecting entries.” If a winner notification fails to send, you’ll see “Could not notify the winner. Please try again.”

These live in the Design elements section of the block picker and help you organize and decorate your page rather than adding new content:

  • Header: a section title, with placement, animation, text color/size, and font controls.
  • Divider: a horizontal rule between blocks, with border color, border width, and a line style (Dotted, Dashed, Solid, Double, or Ridge).
  • Spacer: blank vertical space between two blocks, with a height slider from 10 to 100px (in steps of 10).
  • Banner: an outlined callout box for a short message. Its text field allows up to 250 characters and is required before it will publish, you’ll see “Please enter banner text to show this block.” until you add some. You can also set its shape (Rectangle, Rounded, Circular), width, padding, fill color, alignment, and text styling.
  • Top Menu and Text Passage are also available from this section for organizing your page into tabs and adding standalone blocks of text.

Button, the simple link block, is also technically part of this section, see the question above on Links/Websites/Podcasts/Button for how that one works.

The Embed Apps section lets you connect a range of third-party services, including Typeform, Twitch, Facebook, Calendly, Pinterest, YouTube, GoFundMe, TikTok, Spring Shop, SoundCloud, Spotify, Amazon Music, Apple Music, AudioMack, Tidal, Deezer, Twitter/X, and Buy Me a Coffee.

For most of these (everything except YouTube and Twitch, which have their own setup), the same simple editor applies:

  • Paste the platform URL you want to link to.
  • Toggle “Embed on brandID” on so visitors can view the content right on your page without leaving, or off so it opens the platform in a new tab instead.
  • When embedding is on, you can also turn on “Always open” so the embed shows expanded by default instead of needing a tap.
  • Set a top-menu placement and thumbnail (it falls back to the platform’s own icon if you don’t set one), plus animation and font style options.

A few blocks go live (or come down) on their own based on whether they’re actually complete, instead of needing you to flip a separate publish switch:

  • Blog publishes once it has 1 post, and unpublishes if you delete them all.
  • Carousel publishes once it has 2 slides, and unpublishes if you remove them all.
  • Promo Code publishes once its title, image, and discount (if shown) are complete, and never auto-unpublishes after that.
  • Banner publishes as soon as you’ve entered its text, and unpublishes if the text field goes empty.
  • Email Me only goes live once you finish its setup wizard with “Save & Exit.”

If your plan has a limit on how many Blog posts or Custom Link cards you can have, the “New post” or “Add link” tile dims and shows a lock icon once you hit that limit. Tapping it still opens something, an upgrade prompt, instead of doing nothing.
