On The Go

Mobile & Browser Behaviour

bookme on your phone: what works in the browser, home screen shortcuts, supported browsers, and staying safe on shared computers.

There is no bookme app in the App Store or Google Play, and no installable web app. bookme is a responsive website: everything works in your phone’s browser at bookme.brandid.app.

1. What Works On A Phone

  • The whole dashboard: Meetings (with the details panel, notes, guests, cancel, reschedule, and the attendance buttons), Events, Availability, Reminder Workflows, Question Forms, Landing Templates, Embed, Earnings, Organization, Settings.
  • The event wizard, including publishing and the share screen.
  • Joining a brandID Meet call from the phone’s browser (allow the camera and microphone when asked). Zoom and Google Meet open their own apps if installed.
  • Watching and downloading recordings on the Records page.

2. What Is Better On A Desktop

  • Editing long workflow emails and question forms: the editors work on a phone but are cramped.
  • Hosting a brandID Meet call with screen sharing, which mobile browsers do not offer.

3. The Booking Page On A Phone

Most invitees book from a phone, and the public booking page is built for it: one column, large date and time buttons, the form under the time picker, and Stripe or PayPal checkout pages that are mobile-first.

4. Notifications

bookme has no push notifications. New bookings, cancellations, reschedules, guest changes, calendar warnings, and the post-meeting check-in all arrive by email, so the phone notification you rely on is your mail app’s. The “Met / I missed / No show” buttons in the check-in email work from a phone with one tap.

5. Quick Access

Add bookme.brandid.app to your home screen (next article) so the dashboard is one tap away. You stay signed in for up to seven days of inactivity.

A home-screen shortcut opens your bookme dashboard with one tap. It is a browser shortcut, not an app, so there is nothing to install or update.

1. iPhone And iPad (Safari)

  1. Open bookme.brandid.app/dashboard in Safari and sign in.
  2. Tap the Share button (the square with the arrow).
  3. Tap Add to Home Screen.
  4. Keep or edit the name and tap Add.

2. Android (Chrome)

  1. Open bookme.brandid.app/dashboard in Chrome and sign in.
  2. Tap the three-dot menu.
  3. Tap Add to Home screen, then Add.

Samsung Internet and Firefox have the same option in their menus (“Add page to” and “Add to Home screen”).

3. What To Expect

The shortcut opens the dashboard in your browser. Your sign-in is kept for up to seven days without activity; after that you sign in again with a code, a password, or Google.

4. Removing It

Long-press the icon and choose Remove (iOS: Delete Bookmark). Your account is not affected.

5. For Invitees

A shortcut is only useful for hosts. Invitees do not need an account or a shortcut; their confirmation email carries the join, reschedule, and cancel links.

bookme runs in any current browser on desktop and mobile. It needs JavaScript, and brandID Meet needs a browser with WebRTC.

1. Recommended

  • Chrome, Edge, Firefox, and Safari, current version or the one before, on macOS, Windows, and Linux.
  • Safari on iOS and iPadOS, and Chrome on Android, current versions.
  • Chromium-based browsers (Brave, Opera, Vivaldi, Arc) behave like Chrome.

2. Not Supported

  • Internet Explorer.
  • Browsers that are several years old, or with JavaScript switched off. The booking page shows nothing without JavaScript.

3. Feature Notes

  • brandID Meet (video calls and recordings) uses WebRTC. Chrome, Edge, Firefox, and Safari 15 or newer all work. Screen sharing is desktop only.
  • Google Meet and Zoom links open in their own apps or web clients, with their own browser requirements.
  • Payments open Stripe Checkout or PayPal in the same tab; both support every current browser.
  • Copy link buttons need the clipboard permission, which browsers grant to secure (https) pages automatically. If a copy button does nothing, select the link and copy it by hand.

4. If Something Looks Broken

  • Reload with the cache bypassed (Ctrl+Shift+R, or Cmd+Shift+R on a Mac); a stale copy of the app after an update is the most common cause.
  • Try a private window to rule out extensions and ad blockers.
  • Allow bookme.brandid.app in your ad blocker: some blockers stop the booking widget or the embed script.
  • Update the browser.

5. Browsers On Tablets

  • iPad Safari: fully supported; bookme shows a desktop-like layout.
  • Android tablets (Chrome): the same.

6. Report A Browser Bug

Email [email protected] with the browser and version, the operating system, and a screenshot or short recording.

Signing in on a borrowed laptop or a hotel computer is fine if you sign out afterwards. Here is how bookme sessions work and what to do.

1. How Long A Session Lasts

When you sign in, the browser keeps a session that renews itself while you use bookme and expires after seven days without activity. There is no “remember me” choice; every sign-in behaves the same way.

2. Use A Private Window

Open a private or incognito window before signing in. When you close the window, the session and any saved form data are discarded.

3. Sign Out When You Are Done

Click your name at the bottom of the sidebar and choose Sign out. This ends the session on the server, not just in the browser, so the computer cannot reopen your dashboard afterwards. Close the browser as well.

4. Forgot To Sign Out?

Go to bookme.brandid.app, click Forgot password, and set a new password from the email you receive. A password reset signs your account out on every device at once. Accounts that only use sign-in codes or Google can use this too; the account simply gains a password.

5. What bookme Does Not Have Yet

  • No list of active sessions and no “sign out everywhere” button (the password reset above does that job).
  • No two-factor authentication. Sign-in codes are sent to your email, so protecting your mailbox protects your bookme account.

6. Extra Care

  • Do not let a shared browser save your bookme password.
  • Do not open your mailbox and bookme on the same untrusted computer; the sign-in code arrives in that mailbox.
  • Prefer your own phone: the dashboard works in a mobile browser.
