Choosing the right preset tip amounts makes a big difference in how much your fans actually give. Here’s how to set them up, and how to think about pricing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Adding Tip Amounts<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

  1. In the Details<\/strong> step of the wizard, scroll to “Add amounts people can choose to pay you.”<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n
  2. Type a number (e.g., 5) in the dollar field.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  3. Click the +<\/strong> button. The amount appears as a chip below the field (e.g., $5 \u00d7).<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  4. Repeat for each preset (e.g., $5, $15, $25, $50).<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  5. Remove any amount by clicking the \u00d7<\/strong> on its chip.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

    How Many Tip Amounts Should You Offer?<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

    Three to five preset amounts is the sweet spot. Too few feels limiting; too many overwhelms fans into picking nothing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    A Few Notes on the Pricing Strategy<\/strong> <\/h3>\n\n\n\n

    • The “small commitment” amount<\/strong> ($1\u2013$5): Lowers the psychological barrier \u2014 anyone can afford it.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • The “default” amount<\/strong> ($10\u2013$25): Where most tippers will land. Make this one feel reasonable but generous.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • The “true fan” amount<\/strong> ($50\u2013$100+): For your most engaged supporters. Even if a few people pick it, it anchors all the other amounts as feeling reasonable.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n
