Letting your audience tip you is one of the simplest ways to start earning on brandID. With the Tipping feature<\/a>, fans can support you with one-time payments through a video, image, button, or scannable QR code right on your brandID page. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

This guide walks you through the full setup, from creating the tip jar to publishing it live.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Before you start:<\/strong> Make sure you’re logged in to your brandID account and on your dashboard.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Step 1 \u2014 Open Your ‘Links & Products’ Page<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

From the left sidebar of your dashboard, click Links & Products<\/strong>. This is where every section of your brandID page lives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Step 2 \u2014 Add a Tipping Element <\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Under the Shop (Monetize)<\/strong> section, click the Tipping<\/strong> tile (the icon with the tip jar).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Step 3 \u2014 Choose How Fans Will Tip You (CTA)<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

On the CTA<\/strong> screen, brandID asks: “How Should Fans Tip You?”<\/em> Pick the visual format that fits how and where your audience will discover your virtual tip jar:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  • Video<\/strong> \u2014 Upload a short clip explaining why fans should tip or fund you. Best when you want an emotional connection.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Image<\/strong> \u2014 Use a still photo or graphic. Clean and simple.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Button<\/strong> \u2014 A clickable button on your page. Great for digital-first audiences.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • QR Code<\/strong> \u2014 A scannable code. Perfect for in-person interactions: street performers, servers, valets, and event staff.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

    If you choose Video, drop your file into the upload area or click Browse<\/strong>. You can also turn on the Cover Image<\/strong> toggle to show a custom thumbnail.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Click Next<\/strong> when you’re done.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Step 4 \u2014 Set up Your Ask (Details)<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

    On the Details<\/strong> screen, you’ll write the message your fans see.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    1. Name your tip campaign<\/strong> \u2014 e.g., “Support Me,” “Fuel My Music,” “Buy Me a Coffee.”<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    2. Description<\/strong> \u2014 Tell your story. Use the formatting toolbar (bold, italic, underline, list, link) to style it. If you don’t know where to start, click the Templates<\/strong> button to browse pre-written descriptions for different creator types (General Creator, Educator, Musician, Fitness Coach, Comedian, and more \u2014 10 templates total). Pick one and click Use Template<\/strong> to drop it into your description.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    3. Add tip amounts<\/strong> \u2014 Enter dollar amounts your fans can choose from (e.g., $5, $15, $25) and click the +<\/strong> button after each one. Each amount appears as a chip below the field. You can add as many as you want and remove any by clicking the \u00d7 on the chip.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    4. Click Next<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

      Note:<\/strong> You must add at least one tip amount, or you’ll see a “Please set payment amounts” warning when you try to continue.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      Step 5 \u2014 Set up Your Tip Confirmation Email<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

      On the Email Template<\/strong> screen, you’ll create the email your supporters automatically receive after tipping.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      1. Template Name<\/strong> \u2014 Give your email template a name (or click the Templates<\/strong> button to load a pre-written email).\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      2. Email Subject<\/strong> \u2014 Write the subject line, e.g., “You’re part of this now \ud83d\udd12”<\/em><\/li>\n\n\n\n
      3. Note<\/strong> \u2014 An internal note about who this template is best for (optional).<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      4. Email Body<\/strong> \u2014 Write or edit the message. Use the formatting toolbar for styling.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      5. Variables<\/strong> \u2014 Click any variable chip to insert dynamic content into your email. <\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

        Step 6 \u2014 Schedule When the Email Is Sent<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

        Scroll down to Schedule Settings<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

        1. Enter a number in the Send after<\/strong> field.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
        2. Choose a Unit<\/strong> from the dropdown: seconds<\/strong>, minutes<\/strong>, hours<\/strong>, or days<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
        3. Click Add Scheduled Email<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

          For an instant thank-you, set “Send after 1 seconds.” For a delayed follow-up (e.g., a personal message a day later), set days\/hours. You can add multiple scheduled emails to send a sequence of follow-ups.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

          Click Next<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

          Step 7 \u2014 Choose Your Payment Gateway<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

          On the Payment<\/strong> screen, pick how you’ll get paid. You’ll see two options side by side:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

          Option A \u2014 My Own Payment Gateways:<\/strong> Use your own Stripe<\/strong>, PayPal<\/strong>, or both. If you don’t have an account yet, click the “click here”<\/em> link to create new accounts. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

          Option B \u2014 brandID Payment Gateways:<\/strong> Use brandID’s built-in payment gateway \u2014 no Stripe or PayPal account needed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

          Click Save Publish<\/strong> in the bottom right.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

          Step 8 \u2014 Customize how your tip jar looks on your page<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

          Once published, you’ll return to the Links & Products page. Your tip jar element (“Tipping”) is now live with a green ON<\/strong> toggle. Below it, your campaign (e.g., “Support Me”) is listed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

          Scroll down to fine-tune:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

          1. Which menus should this item appear in?<\/strong> \u2014 Pick where the tip jar shows up: Links, Products, TikTok, Instagram, My Closet, or any custom menu you’ve created.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
          2. Customize Style<\/strong> \u2014 Adjust:\n
              \n
            • Layout Style<\/strong>: Background color, Stroke Fill, Alignment, Stroke Size, Radius<\/li>\n\n\n\n
            • Effect<\/strong>: Shadow color, Opacity, Blur<\/li>\n\n\n\n
            • Button<\/strong>: Background, Font Color, Font Size, Radius, Stroke Fill, Stroke Size<\/li>\n\n\n\n
            • Title<\/strong>: Font Color, Font Size<\/li>\n\n\n\n
            • Description<\/strong>: Font Color, Font Size<\/li>\n\n\n\n
            • Font Style<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

              Step 9 \u2014 Add more tip campaigns (optional)<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

              Want multiple virtual tip jars (e.g., one for tips, one for funding a project)? Click + Add New Tips<\/strong> next to your existing campaign. Each one runs as its own tip jar.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

              If you have more than one, scroll to Multiple Tip Jar Settings<\/strong> to choose:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

              • Autoplay<\/strong> (Yes\/No)<\/li>\n\n\n\n
              • Speed<\/strong> (e.g., 2000ms)<\/li>\n\n\n\n
              • Row<\/strong> count<\/li>\n\n\n\n
              • Show Arrows<\/strong> (Yes\/No)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

                Step 10 \u2014 Preview and go live<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n

                Use the live preview on the right side of your editor to see exactly how your tip jar appears on your brandID page. The bottom of the preview shows a Live<\/strong> toggle \u2014 make sure it’s ON<\/strong> so your page is public.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

                That’s it \u2014 your tip jar is now live, and any visitor to your brandID page can support you in seconds.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
